Hi Everyone

I am 11 weeks with my first and am still trying to figure out what is going on with my body. I had morning sickness (all day sickness for about 5 weeks) and it is now just in the mornings but lately i have found that I am constantly hungry. I know they say you should still be able to eat your normal amount but i am finding that I need to eat almost every hour and I;m not talking about dainty little meals. Even at night I usually wake up every two hours or so and can't go back to sleep until I have eaten something substantial. If I try to ignore it, I can't go back to sleep until I eat something. It is becoming very frustrating as I am a teacher and the lack of sleep is making me very grumpy (my poor kids) and I'm sure they think it is unfair that I am eating lunch at 9 in the morning and 10.30 in the morning etc when they don't get to. Has anyone else had this and if you have please tell me it won't last for ever as I am going to end up the size of a house or anything you found that stemmed the hunger for longer than an hour. People have told me to try fruit etc but that does absolutely nothing to take away the hunger pains.

Aww love, don't ignore what your body is telling you, obviously you have a ravenous baby in there who will never be a picky eater:p !!!
Maybe go for the ole "Low GI" food, that supposedly fill you up for longer. Or just graze constantly on good foods, I'm thinking a bowl of dried fruit and nuts on your desk so you can pick at it all day long. Or a big bag of grapes. Sorry, I'm not that much help!! Don't worry too much about how much weight you put on, if you stick with healthy stuff you should be right, and once bubs is here just be sure to go for a brisk walk every day.

This pregnancy, I also got to be like this once my m/s went away, but I'm lucky enough to be a SAHM so I pretty much just live in the pantry......

I had the same thing - I went back to normal at around 20 weeks, then the dizzy spells set in - don't worry, just listen to your body!!!

I had that too and I agree with the others to just dig in - you'll only feel sick if you don't. I think teaching uses up lots of calories too - you're on the go alot. I used to get so desperate I'd sit in front of my kids and eat out of the lolly jar - they were not impressed!! I found almonds were good and muesli bars. Btw, don't forget to brush your teeth or at least rinse after eating at night - it can ruin your teeth otherwise  good luck with it! :)
