how long before you blended your family

just wondering :goodvibes: how long you and your current partner dated before you moved into together and blended your families.

how did you do it :confused:, you got a new place together or moved into either your place or your partners? anything you would do different?:idea:

mmmm very quickly - we were engaged after 4 weeks and living together (got a new place together) - it was hard for SS as his mum and dad had only broken up about 6 months prior - he lived with us for 12 months before going back to his mum for 18 months and is now back with us for good.
I guess it was very hard for him to understand as he wanted them back together - but now we are married - hubby's ex is engaged and I think SS is happier now with the situation - says he is anyway.

He was only 8 when we met so didn't really understand the whole thing and his mum didn't want him with her etc - so we had some major problems - in saying that I wouldn't do anythign different - good learning experience for me and all turned out ok!

i am feeling that things are going to be getting pretty serious with b/f this year reason i am interested.

DF moved in about 2mnths after we got together (he moved into my place as he was living with his parents at the time). He and my ds1 spent a lot of time together before he moved in and ds took it really well. He was 3 at the time.
