I know this has been discussed before, but what is the general consensus.
Do you hand wash or machine wash on a suitable cycle?

Handwash - most of my woolies have been made for me, by friends and I'd just :crying: if they got wrecked :(

I agree with the pp and would be upset if I shrunk any of our woollies. Handwash even the machine washables.

I definitely agree with handwash only for woollens, no matter what the label might say.

my machine is fairly new, and has a super dooper gorgeous wool cycle so I use that.

I am uber-lazy and if I had to hand-wash my woollies they'd never get washed :p I put them in the machine on "wool cycle", the water temp knob also has a "woollens" option, and I lay them flat to dry inside.

I handwash, I'd be too scared to put them in the machine!! Besides, I rarely have more then one pair to wash at a time so it would be a waste.

handwash, even those that are machine washable. I tend to wash a lot at a time any way.
