Does anyone have an effective way to get rid of a large, painful pimple that just wants to sit snug on my face and grow into my 2nd head...
I mean, ok, it would be great to have someone else to talk to, but the idea of a travelling freak show career is a little bit of a stretch for me.
I tried toothpaste yesterday, ALL yesterday and Nothing! I think it was feeding off the flouride!!

Try dabbing a bit of tee tree oil on it whenever you think about it!! Good luck!
hmmm anything that will dry it out should (should) work ... I know it stinks .. but nail poish remover?? or any facial toner should do the trick
too bad the story in the clearsasil ads aren't realistic... or you could get rid of it in a few hours... LOL ..
good luck... (if in doubt.. there is always the paperbag on the head trick LOL)
-- I am suffering the same problem... one has camped right near my nose... I'm just going to dress up Jack REALLY cute so that HE distracts people LOL

if it is one that needs drying out, dab a bit of metho on it with a cottom bud... I have also used the toothpaste trick, but i dont think anything is goign to make it dissapear overnight. Also, if it is one of those 'blind' pimples, that you think will never develop a head then push down on it hard against your head as if to squash it. You might want to put a bit of ice on it afterwards.
however i think the smart advise would be to leave it alone and let nature take its course, but i doubt most of us do that!
If you are prone to them then check out Clinique's 3 stage system which is face wash, scruffing lotion and moisteriser. It is really quick to use which i love because i can be a bit lazy with things like that. You can get it from Myers or David Jones. They are not that expensive (I think i paid about $100-120 for a 4 month or so supply) and they actually have a free gift special on at the moment when you spend over $60 which is for a pretty good gift.
I got hubby onto the mens version also. My skin has improved so much and I hardly EVER get a pimple.
oooooh - definately tea tree oil! This can be REALLY drying though. if it gets really huge - do what a doc would - steralise needle and pop in at the side! EXTREME!

Ive found the BEST thing since being preggers is just to dab them with some water every time I go to the loo.....keep the area really clean, no soaps, cleansers, or anything....!!!
Helps to stop them spreading and seems to help them dry up faster. Nothing else is working for me!

I used to use a fabulous product from Mt Romance (http://www.mtromance.com.au), which I can't remember the name of and can't seem to find on the website. But I did find a new product of theirs called Damage Control (http://www.mtromance.com.au/content/view/91/41/) which looks pretty good. I love their sandalwood range, it all smells so fabulous.
Unfortunately I don't believe they have a stockist near you (you could search (http://www.mtromance.com.au/component/option,com_comprofiler/task,usersList/Itemid,97/) and see, if you were interested) but they do do mail order and everything there is definately worth the price. Of course other people have already listed much cheaper remedies, so if they work then go for it! :D
