We bought a ring!!!!!

We were at the shops yesterday looking around at all the sales when I just so happened to walk up to a jewellery shop ;)
Everything in the shop was half price, so he said lets get an engagement ring :smiliedance:
It is such a nice ring and so cheap being half price!! I am so excited, I just have to wait until he gives it to me now........

Well, I spent all day yesterday waiting for it, but no such luck......
I know he would be planning something special though, so I guess the waiting will eventually pay off :)

What does the ring look like?
It has three diamonds (the middle one being a little bigger than the other two) and the claws are white gold. When I have it on though, you cant really see the claws, just the diamonds.
Before trying rings on, I thought I wanted a ring where the diamonds are fully enclosed (there is probably a name for that sort of ring, but Im not sure what it is), but when I was trying rings like that on, they all looked so big and chunky on my little fingers. The one we bought is perfect and I dont even have to get it re-sized :)

YAY For being cheap! I sent DF down at 3am to line up for a forfeited layby sale to buy the ring I wanted. It was $5600 and we got it for $1700 :thumbsup:

Poor DF had to stand in the freezing cold to get it for 5 or so hours, but I think it was worth it :laughing:

Its gorgeous half carat G VS1 in white gold with grain set diamonds on both sides (what can I say? I'm a leo and we love bling!)

getting a wedding ring made was a pain in the bum tho (due to weird shape of engagement ring) we got quoted anything from $1299-$1599 :mad: for a plain white gold band in the retail jewellers. So I chased around and found a trade/wholesale jeweller to do it, they made it, and cleaned up my engagement ring all for $700 so it pays to shop around!
