Hi all,

Just wanting to know what you dress your bubs in at night time. The weather has been chaning a bit lately and i don't want bub to be too cold or too hot at night.
Sometimes in the moring I come in and her feet are cold or her hands.

In summer dd just wore singlets or bond sleeveless jumpsuit but now the nights are getting cooler I want to dress her a bit warmer.

Any suggestions would be great .

Well Cj was wearing just a singlet & shorts, but like you said the weather is being weird!! I'm putting him in a t-shirt & shorts now. Occasionally I'll put him in a singlet too, depends on the temp though. Its so hard this time of year hey!! Elly gets wrapped so it doesn't make much difference for her. :)

Andrew is wearing long-sleeve pj's - but light cottony type ones, as its still fairly warm at night. He doesn't like blankets or sheets, so i dress him according to the weather.

On the cooler nights (which really aren't THAT cool yet) he might have a more fleecier type l/s suit, but haven't had that more than once or twice lately.

As winter rolls in, I will add a singlet layer, but no need for that yet! :)

Lucas has summer pj's that he usually wears to bed but if its too hot he'll just wear the shorts and a singlet. And he has flannelette pj's for cooler nights and winter. but if its cool he has a blanket too if needed if not its just a sheet.

We usually put DS to bed with t-shirt & long pant PJ's, then since it has been cooling down in the night we go into his room & take his pants off & put a 1 tog sleeping bag (supposed to be good up to 27 degrees) on him before we go to bed. But yes, sometimes he does get a little warm. It is so hard to know with this in-between weather, we just try to guess how warm or cold he will get & dress him accordingly & unfortunately sometimes we get it wrong. Some nights we just dress him in long PJ's. Sorry, this hasn't been much help, has it? :o
Liz.

Depends on the weather for us too. Both my boys are very hot blooded so they're usually in shorts and a singlet or t-shirt. When it's been a bit cooler they have gone to bed in a long sleeved t-shirt and pj pants or just their pjs. I usually leave a fan on low in their rooms at night and check on them before i go to bed to see if they're too hot.

Both of my boys have been wearing "Gap baby" pjs to bed.
They're 100% cotton and they are snug fitting which seem to be more comfortable for them.
They're the best pj's I've ever bought.

I put DD in a body suit, she seems to like them, but she never has a blanket on as she always manages to pull it of herself.

On hot nights i put her in a little nightie which is just so cute!!!

I have to dress my DD in pj bottoms every night whether it's hot or not because she has taken to pooing in the night, sitting up so her nappy gaps at he front, and then digging around in there with her fingers and eating it:eek:

She does it everytime I leave her pants off!!!

I'd just dress him in a bonds singlet. I think they are great!

TShirt and Shorts when hot weather usually or the shortsleeved leggless bodysuit. In cooler weather a long sleeved cotton body suit.

For the colder weather i have bought her some fleecy sorta pajamas (top and bottom) that should keep her real warm (i hope).

I find her hands get real cool also no matter how warmly shes dressed...

I put my daughter in a grobag sleeping bag. They are great, because you don't need a blanket, which might be dangerous (and it would get kicked off as well). :yelclap: :yelclap:

I have a 1 tog sleeping bag for colder days or nights and a 0.5 tog one for when it is warmer. There comes a nursery thermometer with the sleeping bag, which tells you exactly which bag to use for what temperature and what to wear underneath.

I absolutely love this sleeping bags, because I know I don't have to worry, that my daughter either kicks off the blanket and wakes up because she is cold or she drags the blanked over her head.

i put my 2 boys in t shirts and boxers but the past few weeks they have been taking there t shirts off to go to sleep (i think they are coping there daddy LOL) i think its cute but i worry alot them sleepin with no t shirt on, so i make sure once there are fully asleep that there blankets are on tightly

im hoping they get out of this by winter time :fingerscrossed:

When it's hot i put them to bed in singlet and shorts or knickers. When it is slightly cooler t-shirt and shorts/long pj pants depends how much cooler.

Hi

DS has air con in his room which is set to 24 degrees, so he goes down at night in a bonds wondersuit, and during the day it is whatever he is wearing, which is usually a short sleveed and short leg romper, or t shirt and shorts.

Good luck

Both my girls sleep in summer pj's when it is hot (t-shirt and shorts basically). DD1 is big enough now to pull the covers up or kick them off depending on how hot or cold she is. DD2 kicks her sheet/blanket off all the time so if it is a bit cooler I put her in a long sleeve, 3/4 leg jumpsuit and make sure I tuck her in extra tight and then check before I go to bed to make sure she is covered - no cold toes yet.

When DD1 was smaller I used to put her in a bonds suit with socks on underneath if it was cool. She was a cold body. In winter she had fleecy cotton pj's that covered her feet and the top buttoned to the pants - fantastic!! I used to put socks on her most nights or she would get cold toes. The socks have to be a bit loose though otherwise it defeats the purpose and they end up with cold feet becasue the blood doesn't flow to their feet very well in tighter socks IYKWIM.

If all else fails I have heard great things about those gro-bags - everyone I know that uses them raves about them. I have never used one so can only go by others opinions.

My DS is in a bonds long sleeve suit - not a wondersuit, one of those thin ones. Although it is still quite warm, he kicks off all blankets & sheets as soon as I put him to bed. I have been leaving the ceiling fan on, just to circulate the air.

It's so hard to know what to do - I spend half of the evening worrying if he is going to be too cold or too hot! I want to invest in one of those grobags, after getting advice from other bub-hubers, just need to save a bit of money no!

When it is a cold night i dress my son in a Bonds longsleeve wondersuit, i love 'em, and wrap him up, he loves it!! When its hot i put him in a thinner summer jumpsuit with sleeves and his sleeping bag cause his arms are out!! Its so hard deciding what to put him in, i worry too much if he is too cold or too hot, too cold or too hot, its enough to make you go crazy!!!LOL!!!!:D

During the night DS usually wears a Bonds wondersuit or a similar all-in-one cotton outfit. He doesn't have any sheets or blankets, but we do have some near by in case it is cold. If it is hot, we have some outfits with shorter sleeves and no feet and crank up the fan.

During the day it is whatever he has on.
