I 'dropped' over the weekend and the baby's head is engaged - we're concerned this is really early since I'm only just over 33 weeks. And everyone keeps commenting on it so it's not like I can put it out of my mind. Anyone else dropped yet?

sorry to crash your thread.
im due in the last week of jan/first week of feb so i come past here sometimes.
if its your first child i wouldnt worry. you normally drop early on with the first. sometimes up to a month or more before you give birth.
dont worry about it too much. just enjoy the little bit more room you have up top for a while before he/she grows and fills that gap.

I am now 34 weeks & I have noticed & had people comment on how much lower bub is sitting in the last week or so. This is my second baby & my first didnt engage until about 37 weeks & was born 9 days after my due date. I do remember being told that it is not uncommon for bub to engage early during your first pregnancy & it doesn't necessarily mean an early birth. Not sure what the go is with subsequent pregnancies though.

I am useless at telling these kinds of things & I can't remember what it felt like last time, so I actually really don't know if my baby has engaged or not, but I am feeling a lot of pressure & a little bit of pain in my pelvis. I'm also finding it easier to breathe, reflux is not quite as bad & I havent had a painful kick in the ribs for a while. I guess I will find out in a couple of weeks at my next OB appointment! LOL

Good luck!

I know my first dropped quite early too, can't remember how early though. This one seems to be in and out of my pelvis a bit, one day I swear it is so low it is about to fall out, and the next day I can't breath again.... apparently not uncommon in a second pregnancy.

I wouldn't worry too much about it :)
