Hi,
Will be living in point cook in west melbourne, wondering if anyone could give me any recommendations for doctors/obs? which hospital to use? public or private?

I had my son at Werribee Mercy hospital and they were fantastic. It's a public hospital.

My OB was Dr Sahhar in Altona. He was really nice and took the time to answer any questions you have, but if you don't ask stuff then you will be in and out the door in seconds (after a potentially long wait in the waiting room!).

I have heard that Dr Hissock, female, is fabulous, but hard to get in to.

Feel free to PM me if you have any more questions. :)

Hi there
I had my daughter at Werribee and will be having this baby there too. I can't speak highly enough of the care there. They are fantastic.
I am seeing Dr Calandra in Hoppers Crossing as my ob for this baby. I had him for my daughter too. He's not everyones cup of tea but he is well respected and gives you the time if you ask for it. Otherwise his visits are very quick too after a ptoentially long wait. He is a no nonsense doc but will give you all the time you need to answer any questions and concerns.
Good luck with the move
