Hi, I am 30 weeks pregnant and lately I've been getting pains which feel a lot like the strong ache of period pain in my uterus.... I don't know if this is normal or even if they would be considered Braxton Hicks contractions? They don't really feel like "contractions" as such tho.... has anyone else had this?

He he he, I wonder how many times this has been asked? I know I did!!
Braxton Hicks!! They are shockers!!! :o
VERY NORMAL! I'd say they are prolly Braxton Hicks, but also could be ligaments/uterus stretching. I was getting period paid/cramps all throughout my pregnancy, but mainly they were bad in the beginning and from about 30 weeks onwards.

yep I am 29 weeks pregnant with my second and I am getting them now.....quite painful at times! Hang in there only 10 weeks to go :D
I would probably mention them at your next check up! If they got worse though I wouldn't wait till the next check I would get checked up now! But otherwise I would say they are Braxton Hicks too!:)
They're not regular at all are they? Would it be worth timing them? Don't want you to freak out but I guess there's always a slight chance of early labour. If there's no pattern to them then they're probably just good old braxton hicks!

sounds like the consensus is Braxton Hicks! They aren't regular but I'll definitely mention it at my ob appt next week.... thanks for your answers, it's just so hard to work out what is normal when its your first bub!!
