Kayla - No two bellies are alike cause no two women are alike :yes: Everyone has a different body shape and carry differently. Some people have alot of fluid and babies come in all different shapes an sizes too. Having a big tummy doesn't mean you'll have a big bub. I had a pretty "average" size bump when I was at the end of my pregnancy and Rene was 6lb14oz the smallest of my antenatal group while one of the ladies who's belly was barely noticeable had an 8lb bub. So it just doesn't matter about size - you and bub are totally individual and as I said you look perfect!!!!

Mec - Maybe dh will be extra "jolly" tonight!!! :laughing:

Rosie - Hang in there hun. If you were close by we could all come over and invade your house lol and take care of you too lol

Well guess who turnt up Christmas day...bubs dad of course, he bought me 2 beautiful diamonte photo frames, shortbread cookies dipped in chocolate and a babies time capsule full of cute little keepsakes and minature photo albumns etc.... he was as sweet as pie all day and in the mood to please!! lol.

Hi everyone!!
So sorry I haven't been able to drop in...
I so need the net at home :( Maybe I'll make it an extra Chrissy present... ok, a late one, but still!

I don't believe its tomorrow Kayla! Your not HUGE, but your bigger than I was at 18 weeks (or is it 19 weeks that you are now?)
I'll post a piccie of my bump tomorrow - I have to get my butt here to find out what your having anyway!!
I loved my un-Christmas with Brett's family... I actually bonded with his father, and promised that we'd go up soon... And we got some fabulous stuff!
We got an awesome food processor and blender, and an esky... some clothes for Chaos, a great ceramic baking dish with a lid - so perfect for me :) and a washing machine... oh yes, a washing machine :D I'm so happy! Oh, and we got a 6" bookshelf with a cupboard for underneath - a couple of things that we really did need. We pretty much confirmed that B's sis is moving her stuff ASAP, when she gets back from the US that is... she leaves in a couple of days for a whole damn month... so unfair. NY for a week and a half, including the Sex and the City tour and Madison Square for NYE, then she flies across the country (I would so rather drive though) to LA, does Universal and a few other touristy things, then does LA to Anaheim through a 10 day Contiki tour, sticks around for a few days in San Fran then flies home. Unfair!

Oh, then on the real Christmas I actually didn't get a whole lot... Brett and I already had planned that we were going to get me a sewing machine and that was my Chrissy pressie, and I knew he'd bought me a singstar game... I guess I would have liked a surprise. He didn't even write in my card until we were running late to go to my mums... then we ended up having a fight coz he sat on the computer the whole time we were opening pressies and stuff. Sucky. :hissy:

Girlies who already have bubbas, what do Braxton Hicks's feel like??

mj there like fake contractions, apparently spose to be painless but some people can expience being uncomfy. There not spose to be regular either. A Tightening of the belly is the best way i can describe it.

Hubby brang me home. :smiliedance:

I get to hopefully find out whats wrong with me today and if i can take anything for it. coz im still not well so come sat if i still have it thats 2 weeks with this bug. SO NOT NICE.

Hubby got me the newest delta cd Valentine and i spoilt him with some ferreo rochers (chocies) latte flavoured chocs, milky way white choc and a big box of orange tictacs his fav. hehe.

TODAY - my sister gets here though i might be asleep considering by the time my hubby gets back from brissy with her it will be 10pm lol.

hope everyone is doing better then me. hopefully i will be able to take something for this. oh please i dont want to be like this for another 3months. :(

Ethan was born 15th december at 8.44am, weighing 9lb 1oz :dizzy: and 57cm long!!
he arrived the day before my 21st, best bday pressie ever!!
he's so well behaved, i love him so much. labour was 16hrs, no epidural, just gas at the end.. wow wot an experiance lol
hope ur all well, kayla id love to know the sex pleeeeaaz :)
oh yeh and my ex df has seen him a few times, we are working on a "friendship" for ethan's sake, so far so good :thumbsup:

Well we have all but 8 teeth which shouldnt come through untill 16month onwards unless he decideds to teeth early for a change lol. we arent sleeping through the night but only wake up 2-3 times a night maybe 4 if were unlucky so its GREAT. lol. if only i was better and i slept that much lol

on my hubbys day off i have to go for a blood test. oH dear glucose test thingy for around 28weeks. omg yes thats right nearly the last trimester. home stretch.

As for me its been a bit crappy here. My whole family has got the gastro bug :barf:I had it first this week, Rene had it on Christmas day, Ben got it last nigh and my mum and his dad got it today. Ben's dad got it som bad he passed out and has broken 3 bones in his face so we had to rush over and pick him up today, not good.

But anyway other than that Rene has just gone to bed and I'm feeling like a bit of a sad case because one of my mates from band is having a bit of a get together for his birthday tonight. He lives just round the corner and is a pretty good mate and asked me earlier in the week to pop around if I could. I actually thought, yeah I will pop around after Rene goes to bed because I don't get to do these things anymore and I might as well as Ben is just playing Xbox and Rene is asleep but now I'm sitting here in my pj's thinking I couldn't be bothered lol SAD!!

Word of advice... ;) haha.... Bonjela is usless..... does absolutely nothing..... get some Hylands teething tablets from the chemist (about $12 a bottle) and put a couple in his mouth and they dissolve. They work wonders..... they are the only thing that works on Tyler..... even panadol doesn't work on him!!! and... they are all natural!!! :thumbsup:

Okey just a quik hello!! Worked at the house ALL day 2day till 6pm...bubs dad is back from Brissy and won't be returning to his old job!! :eek:...

He spent the whole day painting and gapping walls for me!! and is coming 2morrow also to help with furniture and other stuff!!

Just thought I would fill you in on the child support thing, If he doesn't sign the birth cert you will need to get him to sign a statutory declaration form saying he is the father if he refuses that you will have to get legal aid and he will be given the option again to sign the stat dec or get a DNA test (which will cost him) if he doesn't respond your legal aid case manager will take him to court to have the DNA tests done and it will end up costing him alot of money... Whilst all this is going on you will still recieve your full entitlements but if the test comes back negative and you don't have any idea where the father is or who it is then your payments will be cut by quite alot and the one you took to court won't have to pay for the tests.

Oh and a tip ladies, don't let them sign the birth cert. Mothers and fathers rights are now equal, so if you don't think your child would be safe if they were in their custody don't let them sign it.

Oh and if they make things hard it will look bad for them if they try and get custody.

You will only lose money if you don't go through with legal aid proceedings to claim child support. Yes the father can do that, but I was talking if it is you who is forcing it don't bother if they do really want to be on it then let them.

Well I set up an entire nursery and said there is no way my son is sleeping with me...:doh:Boy was I wrong! It has been the best thing for us, with breastfeeding and I get alot more sleep with him their because he was in my tummy for 9 months, I understand that he would still want to be close... He will sleep in his cot during the day sometimes but never at night. :no: I love it though when he wakes up in the night he tickles my face...Valentine

But everyone is different... You can always have the cot next to your bed take of the side rail, that is called side-car sleeping.. Just means bub is close but not too close if you don't like co-sleeping.

I have had such a boring day today, oh but I felt so good before, chucked bub in the HAB and walked down to the shops bought some vegies then made some baby food and now it is all in the freezer, then cleaned up the house.:thumbsup: I felt very productive.

Liddy- There are alot of pros and cons for both putting bubs in a nursery and in ur own room but i think its best for both bubs and i if he has his own room there isnt enough room for him in mine and the only free room is upstaries but im sure my mum will hear him and ill hear him on the monitor when he wakes and if something is wrong.

Ella- Did u have any trouble breastfeeding? did Kaidayn just go straight on? im hoping to be able to breastfeed and express.

Kayla- Yes DP and I have decided to make a go at it... Taking things extremely slow, have agreed we are not going to live together for quite a while but his not returning to Brisbane at this stage...

His even decided to sell his car and get the other one registered to use along with the bike eventually lol. The only thing Im really angry with atm is the weed... :mad::( He stopped for 2 weeks and has said its 2 hard... He doesnt smoke it very often but still...

Hey girls, I am so upset today my own sister was so mean to me today i am so badly hurt she made rude and hurtful comments about my sons u/s pics she said it looks like i breed with one of my staffys because his got a snot and she said he looks like a monkey she kept saying this over and over again and then went on to say how big he looks and say how long his legs are these comments ripped my heart out once i left her place i couldnt stop crying and i felt like i couldnt breath probley, i cant belive my own sister who i look to for advice and who i love said this about my baby, i would never ever dream of putting down another family member or anyone for that matter.

Leilz. Don't stress hun. :hugs: You are not a horrible mum. Not at all.... We all make choices for our own reasons.... I have only just left an abusive relationship.... the physical stuff started when I was 7 months pregnant with Tyler (who is now 15 months old).... I lost a baby due to his violence and put Tyler, myself and the unborn bubs through a lot of things by not leaving.... I left and come back etc.... without going into a life long story I wanted the support to leave too. Hun it is your choice, and please don't feel like you are a bad mum by staying with him. You aren't. You are trying to do what you feel is best for you and bubs.... and that doesn't make you a bad mum at all.

Don't stress hun.... take a nice warm bath, do something you enjoy and just work on what you want to do one thing at a time... don't take it all face first!!! We all have a long life ahead to worry about everything now!!!

I know it is not the best of relationships... But while I stay with him I must say he does not physically abuse me or ever force himself onto me... he will get angry but I stand up for myself and he will nearly always back down otherwise he simply walks away until his calm...

I just wish I was coping with everything better... :( I use to be such a strong person... Ive been through **** and made the best life for myself standing on my own 2 feet and moving out 2 live alone by 16 and now I feel as though I've gone backwards beyond belief... Liddy... I have a mate who has a little lancer and has a baby seat in the back... lying down... best advice is to put bubs in the middle, as there is more room for the carseat there. (And I think its the safest spot as well).

It's not really that difficult to get them in and out... more than it is a four door.... but seriously not that much. My ex used to have an integra and a silvia... and I was fine with it. And the excel back seats are bigger than an integra... trust me lol!!

Maybe just try put it in now and see how it sits and go from there?

Well what a night! Firstly had a really nice time with the guy I like we got desert and went down to Burleigh heads cliff looking over the ocean and sat in the car watching the rain and hugee waves! I spent all day yesterday like that Leilz! I got to the point where I'd been crying for an hour and a half more or less and called my ex (who's still a fantastic friend of mine, and who has a 2 month old!) who made me smile and kind of kicked my butt for upsetting the baby like this. More or less told me that I couldn't go getting upset over everything because the baby was feeling it too, and that I had to be responsible. Funny how being reminded sometimes really puts things into perspective... at least for me.
I just wanna say how proud I am for those of you who have gotten yourself out of bad situations and are doing the best that you can for yourselves and your bubbas... I know that its not easy.. I'm hoping that the new year brings my MIL leaving my FIL once and for all... :fingerscrossed:
OMG - "His Son"... my dear DP (who I'm referring to as my DP now and not my DF.... I'm not wearing a ring till he's responsible enough and starts counselling... looooong story) made that mistake the other day without realising it... I roasted his a$$. My poor neighbors must think I'm a nightmare. I think I started with "How dare you think for so much as a second that this is YOUR son. What the %^&* have you done thats so %^&*ing fantastic that makes him YOURS and not OURS?"
And I kicked him to the futon last night because I wasn't comfy in bed and he kept talking... :rolleyes: 11.30, I was exhausted and he wanted to talk!

i just tested out the carseat in the 2 door and omg it looks huge! lol also question ladies who have carseats in a two door, is it ok if the front seats are touching the head of the carseat? aslong as the carseat is installed and sitting firmly on the seat and then move the seat back up against the carseat? just gunna be a bit squishy otherwise, the carseat is huge, maybe i should hire a capsule....

Liddy what we did is put bubs behind the passenger not the driver so they could have as much room as possible. thats what we will do for this bub so seth will be behind the driver but facing forward ofcourse lol

Today it got to 42 in melbourne i was out all day so no air con and i can tell u right now i nearly died, i am now home with the air con on and im in my underwear :laughing:

I went out for dinner for new years eve but thats it now i am just going to watch the fire works on t.v and wait for 12 too hot to sleep.

I did get a call from one of my exs mates inviting me out so that was sweet but i turned him down.

I had another teary day and got myself all worked up and worried about bubs i ended up going to the hospital to get them to check bubs heart beat.

As for being single im honestly not minding it i look at couple and think ekkk im so gald thats not me, i dont think ill be ready or want a relo for ages but it did take me ages to feel this way and still have days where i think of my ex which is only normal.

aww bubba is kicking :D im so happy he has just made my new years eve, i hadnt felt him in 3 days and was getting so upset.

leilz - i was told that too, it was my first hospital appointment that i first heard it!

kayla - lol you'll get sick of him kicking ya gutts out very soon! after i hit the 20 week mark the movement and kicks became so much more frequent, it scares me sometimes!! and recently its disturbed me in my sleep, ill look down and my stomach is moving in all directions! its unreal

Oh i want that happening to me i want to look down and see my stomach moving no fair lol.

Atm the kicks are so amazing its the best thing i have ever felt i would love to feel them all day everyday.

I guess im lucky because i have heard my bubs heart beat at 9 weeks 5 days, 13 weeks 5 days, 17 weeks 5 days, 18 weeks and today! everytime i hear it i cant wipe the smile off my face.

Oh, and on the topic of books and journalling pregnancy - I've been scrapbooking mine... or more like I'm catching up on mine now. I have info on weight gained each month, appts, cravings, side affects felt and all of the other important things that happened that month eg. brett's 21st is mentioned and we have a pic in there and how it affected me :)
I have a seperate page for scans, and I've started the info for the baby shower! Just over a month till my shower! Can't wait!!

Nope, the only 0000's I have were bought for me. My mum never bought any either - she had a couple of things, and they only fit us for 2 weeks or something. I'll buy something cute for the going home thing because I'm a sentimental idiot like that, but that'll be it. They're so tiny! (and thank God for that!)

Clothes wise I have a few things already from over the years... and mum bought my first outfit for the bub a couple weeks ago OOOs 7 piece set. Its adoreable. I have no intentions of buying any 0000s outfits but im sure i'll be given some.

Cath - how big was heath when he was born? Seth was 7pound 9 (3450kilos) and i managed to get 4weeks out of my 0000 clothing.

It was an ok night for me last night :D Seth went to sleep at 8.40 (30mins after i started trying to get him to sleep :( )
and then stired twice needed to feed him water twice when he stood up but last time he stired and stood up was 11.30pm then he woke at 7am :smiliedance: lol it was wonderful

9 pounds isnt too big, i think anything from 7 to 9 pounds is nice! im thinking ill have a 8 or 9 pound bub.

My mums biggest was 10 pound her smallest was 5 pound 9 and that was full term.

Oh yeah, as for the clothes size. Its had cause you never know how big bub will be. The smallest size I had was 0000 but Rene was born 6lb14oz so Ben had to go out and get 00000 which were still too big for him, he was so tiny- what happened to my little baby??:(

HAHA yeah his dad is 6 ft 4 and 120 kilos he is a solid boy, I was scared SH*TLESS!!!! I will upload a photo to show ya.

Oh and his dad was like 12.5 lbs born or so, that scared me alot!!!!
