What do I do?

DS is 11 days old ... up until 2 days ago he would sleep fine in his cot (4-6 hour stints). The past 2 days every time I put him in his bed asleep or awake within 5 minutes his screaming until I pick him up. This is an endless cycle. He has to sleep in my arms at night so I can get some sleep.

As long as he is being held, he'll sleep soundly(today 4.5 hours in the bjorn) but as soon as I put him down, he wakes up. Help!

Try taking out your breastpads (if you are BF) or putting a shirt you have been wearing into the cot with him. Your smell might be enough to help him.

If not you might have to get a sling to carry him around.

At 2 weeks they do go through a massive growth spurt and love lots of extra food and cuddles, so you might find that it passes with in a few days.

Congratulations on your new little man :hugs:

breastpads are a great idea - will try that!

have a sling and have been using that - his already 4.5 kilos and pretty heavy - plus have to manage my 17 month old too so just getting tiring ... feel so sorry for DS though ..

hopefully the breastpads work and like you said might be a growth spurt! Thanks

do you swaddle her Mj? i went through the exact same thing with my dd when she was teeny, and i started swaddling her and she slept great because she didnt feel so exposed and insecure. there are some great stretchy wraps from target that i love because they can still stretch their little legs in it. i found that it only worked if i put her arms by her side rather than across her chest.

hope the breast pads/shirt trick helps, good luck!
