Has anyone looked into booking into antenatal classes yet. I am almost at the 12 week mark where I am supposed to book my stay at Sunnybank Private. Will they tell me about antenatal classes then? How much are they likely to cost? First baby and so many questions.

I just booked mine with my hospital, Mater mothers private in Brisbane. I got sent info about classes as soon as I booked into the hospital. The cost for mine is $200. You can also do classes that are independent of the hospital, but I liked the idea of getting used to the place, and with mine you get a tour of the birthing suites.

When I had my daughter I was only 16 and they booked me into an ante natal class for young mums .. there was no one under 21.
There were 6 of us in the class and 3 of us have remained friends and our girls are all going to the same kindy together next year.
I think they're a wonderful idea.
I know the hospital where I'll go for clinic offer classes for first time parents, catch up classes for people who are already parents, under 21s, over 35s, exercise classes, breast feeding class, relaxation, physio, tours of the labour and maternity wards..
Guess we're pretty lucky and all the classes are free.
Maybe you should just ask but i'm sure they will give you information.
