I have just been to the website for mountain buggy's and I thought they looked quite good. I was thinking the the double urban with a carry cot would suit us best. We will have a 20 month old and a newborn.
I have looked at some other side by side prams and I thought the seats seemed small, what are they like in the buggy? Aslo wondering what it is like size wise?
Just wondering if I can get the opinions of others who have this pram??
I thought it was confusing last time:confused:
Thanks in advance!
I have a single urban and love it, but think the double looks like a tank - its huge!
I have been looking too, it's confusing isn't it. I'll have an 18 month & newborn in august, and I'm really not sure what to do about a pram.

tell me about it!! what a pain! It was hard to get an idea of how big they are on th enet - will have to go somewhere and loook at them in the flesh. Then again - I rang up about the price  I'd have to be really sure about it! And I think I'll give the carry cot part a miss! Did you use your singel when Max was newborn with or without the carry cot??
Please let me know if you come across something really good!!
I used the carry cot part, it was a gift. I don't think we would have bothered otherwise. It's lovely though.
Now that Max is getting a little older, he often seems slumped over a bit in the urban. Because the back is material only and doesn't have a seat type structure, perhaps it's not providing enough support for his back. We went shopping today and I took him out twice for a crawl around the shop as he was unsettled. Not sure if it was the pram or not. Just another thing to think about.
I think I might check out the option of a single pram with a toddler seat.

Hi
I have 2 boys (18month and 2 month) and have made do with what we already had which is:
1} A Mountain Buggy Urban (single) - have never used carrycot as both boys went straight into the normal pram bit as newborns.
2} a baby sling for the newborn
3} a walking harness for the toddler
4} and we were lucky enough to get given a double side-by-side old pram that I use for the odd walk up to the shops. Dont use it much as it weighs a ton and the steering is terrible (but beggers cant be choosers). Also I find that the toddler loves to lean over and 'play' with the baby.
We really had a think about where we would be going on a regular basis and whether it would be only me or both of us (DH). Anyway I think $1000 is way to expensive for a pram that you will only use for a short time, plus living in a country town not to many shops that i can get a double pram into (or even a single in some shops!).
This system has worked for us so far, anyway I have found that with 2 kids you certainly dont go out quite as much.
Good luck
Christine (a very tired stay at home mum)
Callum (18months)
Aaron (6 weeks)
