I think it scared me more than ds. After his morning feed which he has in our bed, ds went crawling around the bed as usual. I always keep on him as he goes to the edge but this morning he was just that much quicker and fell off the bed and landed on his forehead. Of course he started crying, i picked him up and after about 30 seconds he stopped crying.
He seems to be fine, has a nice egg on his forehead and has gone down for a sleep. I will keep an eye on him and make sure he wakes at normal time. Just so worried about what I've let happen to him.
Has this happened to anyone else.:(
Oh Poor honey!!
I slammed DH foot in the car door when he was about 4 months old. It was raining and I was trying to get both babies out of the car and under the cover quickly. He cried for a minute or so and was fine. Then I started crying and couldnt stop!!
Its such an awful feeling but accidents happen.
Unfortunately this has happened to me with both girls - the sudden flip off the bed when you are there with them and watching them....makes you feel terrible doesn't it?
It is probably no consolation but their little headsd are pretty tough - thank goodness. Mine have walked around with bruises on their foreheads for weeks on end - not something to be proud of but the reality of toddlers once they are up and moving.
Hope you and he feel better soon. Don't be too hard on yourself.:hugs:
It happens to everyone, sometimes they are just too quick...
Hug to you :hugs: and you can still wear your crown
Cheers

If its any concelation my ds1 used to have bruises on his head all the time..... we went down to brisbane for holidays once and he was running around in our hotel room and ran straight into the corner of a brick wall....... he had a HUGE egg of his head but after the initial crying he was fine. He used to bump his head on a daily basis because he was just so active and always jumping all over the place. Even now at 3 he always has a bruise on him somewhere :shame:
Oh isn't it an awful feeling :(
We were having family tickles on the bed and ds threw himself backwards. His head went 'bang' on the corner of the bedside table. There was lots of blood, lots of tears and a super stressed out mummy.
I raced him down to the doctors. The doc took the dressing off his head (I think I'd used a pair of my clean undies :o ) and said...... have you had a good look at this? It's only a tiny cut.
I had a look...... it was really really tiny. How embarrassing.
Dh and I felt terrible though....especially as we had BOTH been there playing with ds.

Please don't worry! He's alright! My little boy fell off the bed at 6mths, and I bawled my eyes out, then the next day he fell off the lounge. I could have kicked myself in the head! Now, the twins are nearly 15mths and have bruises all over them from their adventures!
