will wake when un wrapped

hi i have 5month old baby boy... he doesnt seem to sleep un wrapped he goes to sleep really good but wakes as soon as his arms get lose.. for a while there he use to sleep from9pm till 3am feed then sleep till 8am.. now he seem s to wake every 2 hrs cause hes gettin stronger and isnt staying wrapped... its startin almost to be a routine for him now because the times of his wakes are the same neally every night.. really not sure what to do my child health nurse is usless and doesnt know anything but what shes read in a book... have any of you have any advice ??? :confused:

As the mother of a 6 month old who is also wrapped and who wakes every two hours at the moment even when she is still wrapped :eek: I don't have any answers except that I fear that the only solution might be teaching them to sleep without being wrapped (in other words, one of the controlled crying options). After 3 months they lose their startle reflex so the wrapping is about comfort and routine rather than anything else. It also seems from watching my two and reading other threads that around this time is when they start to wake more at night and need to learn to sleep without all the things I use like breastfeeding to sleep and wrapping etc. If anyone else has any solutions I am also keen to hear them.
