I've been using the spray on lanolin on my wool covers and i don't know how to tell when they need re-lanolising. I have just been redoing them when i can't smell the scent any more but i would like to have a go with the unscented lanolin - how do you tell when to re-lanolise?

Properly lanolised woollies will just smell of lanolin/wool once they've been used and aired. You'll know they need relanolising when they've been used overnight and after airing they still smell of wee.

What she said ^^^

They still smell of urine after an airing, or they stop working as effectively.

It's a bit tricky- but they smell of wee a bit and don't work as well as they used to. I don't use scented lanolin and I just do them every couple of months so that I know that they're fine. This is more then enough considering I use a very generous amount of lanolin  Mine have a slight lanolised 'feel' to the inside of them when rubbed between my fingers.
