Hey Guys!! I know there are heaps of question threads about cloth newbies..... but I really wanna know what else I need to buy. I am not due until April 30th but I have been buying nappies (even when TTC) cos they are just soooooo cute!! Ok here is my list. Could you help with any things I need like inserts or extras? Thanks heaps....

Is there anything else obvious that I should get??

umm...a nappy bucket and some cloth wipes perhaps?

ETA: maybe get more one size nappies as well as most of those on your list will only last for a couple of months or less before you need to upsize.

And maybe some flats cause you may find some that leak or some don't fit properly ect...

Flats are your traditional cloth nappy. They can be made from Terry, Bamboo or Hemp.

You can get Terry flats from Kmart or Big W. Buy the more expensive ones (Dri-glo?? I think) as the extra $5 per dozen is really worth it. The cheaper ones are thinner and not quite square and drive me nuts. :mad:

You should be able to get bamboo or hemp ones online or you could get some material and make your own.

Flats are good to have as back-ups as they dry really quickly and can fit any bub, they can also be used as burpers. I have 18, but 1 dozen should do just as a backup.

Some people use prefolds, so maybe investigate those also.
