Calling All Rockhampton and surrounding mummies!

Hi all..

Are there any mummies who's from Rockhampton at all? I'd love to chat and catch up. We live in Yeppoon, with 2 beautiful little ones. We've been here since April, and I still haven't really make any friends:crying:

I'm scared at meeting new ppl, too. But having children are great ice breakers, right? Sometimes :p, or shopping!! Lol. I love shopping!!

I live in Blackwater. Is that close enough? lol. We come to rocky every now and then for shopping and dr's and stuff.

Where's blackwater? :o We only come to Rocky when we have dr's, shopping, or bored at home, which is quite often. Lol..

I live in Ipswich (south-west of Brisbane) now, but I grew up in Blackwater and still go back to visit occasionally.
It's 2 hours west of Rocky :)

lol, blackwater is a bit of a hole to be honest. I cant wait to move. DH has got interview with the army in rocky next month. I cant wait!! Im feeling trapped in this town, doesnt help that DD is a sick kid and we're not getting any help out here!!

Hi everyone

I previously lived in Rockhampton before moving out to Emerald in September but i cant stand it anymore so i am moving back in a couple of weeks hopefully. My partner and I have a 17month old son and are 10 weeks pregnant. Even though i have friends in Rocky most of them dont have kids or they work full time so i would love to make some new ones. I made a good friend out in Emerald after we met on the huggies web site and it was a little scary for us both to meet but now we have playdates for our boys so everyone should definately give it ago. :wave: Hi! I live in Rocky! My name is Wendy and I'm 29 yr old. I've got a cheeky 13mth old son. I used to live in Emerald! It was a bit of a hole! I live there for about 5yrs or so. My partner works out in Blackwater. I sometimes go out to there for a bit of piece and quiet. Sad I know lol! Most of my friends work or I have lost contact with them. Good on you for lasting 5 yrs in Emerald, dont get me wrong most of the people seem really nice but there is just not much of a choice when it comes to shopping or activities to do with kids and the price of rental properties is just rediculous, my partner only works in paint retail so we dont get any help like the miners out here do. So i have just applied for a rental property in gracemere (close to in laws) so hopefully it will be approved and i will be able to move soon but my partner is going to continue to work out here for a few more months, so i will be a bit like a single mum for a while mwa mwa.

Anyway if you would like to chat im on here every other day.

Hi ladies.
We were in rocky the other week, alex was in the pead unit at rocky base for a week or so. I got sooooo bored. DH had his interview and went really well, so he's gotta go to rocky again in a month for the 2nd one, but we wont get to live at rocky, will be a major capital city, which suits me !!! :D

I used to live in Rockhampton 15months ago, I lived there for 18years!!!
I now live in Southside Brisbane & haven't being to Rocky since I got here..

So how do you like Rocky so far? We're living in Yeppoon at the moment, but make trips to Rocky a few times during the week. We might move to Rocky as well by next month. Still can't decide whether to stay at yeppoon or to rocky..Where did move from?

Would love to catch up sometimes, we could meet up at crazy jokers, do you know it? Anyway, we'll have to organise something

Anyways, whats happening with K-,mart? Is it staying open throughout the reno's? I've gotta come to rocky soon to get DD's 2nd b'day presents. (wait till the sales though lol)!

Hey I'm also a Rocky mum of two boys, the fun never ends :P

As far as K-mart goes haven't been there in a while plan to go soon myself with the sale they have on at the moment. I think they are staying open they have done a lot of moving around and its not the best last time I was there but hey its still open last I checked :)
