Alcohol in the 2ww

Is alcohol ok before 7dpo when TTC?

I dont want to risk implantation from occuring!

I never drink in the ttw, but that is just me....I want to give it every chance I can.....:yes:

But by saying that I don't drink full stop when I am on a IVF cycle, when I was trying naturally I would have a few wines but not in the tww.....but seeing it is xmas you might want to have a drink, I would only have 1 or 2....

Everything in moderation is my motto. If you want to have a glass of wine or two then I'm sure that won't hurt. If you want to get totally blotto during the 2ww then I'd be rethinking your priorities about TTC. As a general rule, I try not to drink at all during the last week of the 2ww. I also try to not have more than one glass of alcohol during the 2ww in general, but I don't stress about it too much if I do. I just know the month I fall pregnant will be the one where I break that rule!

they are saying now that no alcohol is acceptable during pregnacy, so i do not drink during the two week wait, or any time during the first 16 weeks of pregnacy. as was said before, thats just me, i dont drink coke or sit any where near ANYONE that smoke either etc, you get the point. If your considering it, dont have any more that one a day, and try to make it a light drink, cruizers are good:p but you get what im saying:)

Implantation can occur from around 5dpo and as a friend once told me you dont want it to implant in alcohol soaked blood!

I'm another one that abstains totally while in the 2ww. DD1 was a lovely suprise after two years of trying. I had given up doing the right things. We went to a party and I had a BIG night. I stressed the whole of the pregnancy about the damage I may have caused. (she is just dandy!)

I really wouldnt want to go through that again though

I think I O'ed yesterday so I will be in the TWW over christmas. I am still deciding if I should have one or two drinks over christmas. I think I will wait until New Years so I can do a test and know for sure.

My Af is due 30/12, so I should know by NYE if I can drink and celebrate my b'day as well with a few drinks.....!
