hi guys my 4and a half month old is cutting his first tooth...its almost through, he is very upset :crying: . Was just wondering what pain relief do you use? and what you find is best. I have been using bonjella and panadol....so far so good just curious to know what everyone else uses?

Definitely panadol is the best. For best results at night, I use Nurofen.

nurofen is for only 6 months + isnt it?

Yes, don't use nurofen on a bub under 6 months...Will really upset the tummy.

I use a teething elixir made by a chemist in Watsonia, Melbourne.
I travel around an hour to get it...and so do all of my friends...it's the best!!!
If you want the name/phone number (as they do take phone orders) just pm me.
It really is fabulous stuff!

I heard that the Hylands Teething tablets are great, but I bought some today and they didn't seem to do anything at all  He did like the taste of them though

I always used Panadole, Bonjela and cold teething rings. We have a teething ring that looks like a dummy that Aiden LOVES!!! I think it's called a gummy  you get them at the chemist, I got it at Priceline.

I think that Brauers is the best - it works and it is natural:)

I like the Brauer Teethin Relief too or you get the following:

1 apple (grated)
1 clove (grated)
1 square piece of muslin cloth
1 piece of string

Put the clove and apple into the centre of the muslin cloth tie it up into a money bag type look and bound it with the piece of string. Then give to bub to chew on!

The cloves actually help to numb the poor inflamed gums!:D

I usually try Bonjella first, if that doesn't help then I go straight 2 the Brauer's teething relief - usually only 1 dose has been enough for my daughter in the past. At night if she is really unsettled and irritable as a last resort I head for the Panadol and she always gets an extra big cuddle before settling her for bed. So far, so good.

Hi the Weleda baby range is fantastic!! You can shop online or from most big healthfood stores e.g. MAcro in Sydney.

If you go the below link it will answer your other questions on the baby powder in specific

We use the majority of their stuff on our little one and most of it on mum too

I think Bonjela works the best, also if your bub has a dummy, put that in the fridge and use it when bubs seems really cranky, even in the warm weather a cold flannel to sux and chew on helps.

SM33 gel (~$10/tube) from pharmacy is fantastic. Found Bonjella useless after the first few teeth cut through, especially for molars and canines.
