DD1 who is nearly 8 months old can now poo in her nappy but not in her potty. It all started when she was about 7 months old and she hadnt gone for a few days. She wouldnt latch on as she was being breastfed so It got me thinking and one day I asked her to do it and she did!!
Little did i know that this process called elimination communication even existed but there u go u learn something knew every day.
Problem is now she will only go in her nappy and not on her potty!
Shes only ever done a number 1 in her potty before...but still shes saved me lots of dirty nappies going when I ask her to as I just roll her mess into the toilet and flush it. Washing nappies has been quite a clean and not so smelly process.
My friends find it so hard to believe that she actually goes when I ask her to. Her signs were usually a lot of wind, after lunch, not latching on.
Now Im wondering how long it will be before she actually does go in her potty! I dont want to sound like im being hard on her or anything.. Im not forcing her...just trying to help the both of us.
Any ideas?
