does supply go down when af comes back?

Well darn AF has come back and my milk seems to running out :( I usually have a good milk supply and i usually have heaps left at the end of day but last night when i gave him his dreamfeed there didn't seem to hardly any coming out! I had to squeeze it out for ages!

Whats going on? Is it my AF returning or is it something else? His nappies are not as wet either. Im starting to get worried! I wanted to hit my next target of 12mths!:(

I noticed last time I had AF, she was very fussy on the breast, not so much that my supply was affected, just she wasnt happy with it.. oh, and the let down took a while longer.

he has been a bit sick with gastro and maybe him losing his apettite put my milk down. I really don't want to put him on formula. I did give him a bottle tonight though, only 100mls

Hi jaxcoop. My AF returned after 7 months of bf'ing and I definitely noticed a drop in my supply. DD wasn't fussy at the breast, but she definitely wasn't satisfied. Instead of supplementing, I keep putting her on the breast more during the day. She normally feeds every 4 hours or so but I had her on there every hour. It seemed to work. She also wakes up at night too and instead of resettling her without a feed, I fed her. Good luck!
