I'm worried

Went to the doctor on Friday and he's put me on anti biotics .. due to my urine not being perfect about 2 weeks ago and I've now ended up with symptoms of urine infection ... yellow/green discharge, lower back pain, pain either side of my belly button (on and off) ..
But late Friday night I went to the toilet and noticed a smear of blood on the toilet paper ... This has continued on and off since then ...
I'm going to wait until Monday and go to my doctor because there's not a lot they can do over the weekend and late at night at the hospital plus I have no actual pain, clots or continued bleeding ..

I just wondered if anyone else has experienced anything like this ... has anyone had smearing bleeding during their pregnancys with a urine infection?

You need a different antibiotic! See your GP ASAP.

It sounds like you're progressing towards getting a kidney infection.

I had one when I was 37 weeks pregnant, and it was HELL.

I ended up on Trimethoprim and it was gone in 5 days.

I had been put on Amoxil the week before, and it did absolutely nothing for me.

Went to the doctor today .. he's not concerned about the bleeding because it's stopped and was only spotting.
But i'm having an ultrasound on thursday just to make sure everything is ok ..
Now i'm really worried there won't be a heart beat .. argh i'm paranoid!

First of all - you're NORMAL!!!! I have had 3 scans due to spotting/bleeding and it is worrying - but I agree with TSP - I think that the Dr has ordered the scan to ease your mind.

It's a shame he couldn't do it earlier to save you the concern, but just try to be positive - maybe you could try to visualize a golden light around your baby protecting him/her and then bring the light around you as well - this should help to calm you down too!

If all else fails, my GP says that Rescue Remedy (Bach Flower or Bush Flower remedy) is safe - you can get this at any health food store and some chemists - it doesn't interact with any other medication, so you can take it without worrying!

I currently have a urine infection and cephalexin was not useful for it so I had to go on a different type of tablet it is a catergory A drug though and the doctor triple checked it is right for pregnancy. I hate taking antiboitics when pregnant.

I had this VERY badly... I had a UTI for a while at about 30 wks, but just drank heaps of water and ural...
Silly me didn't go to the doctors, instead i ended up getting rushed to the hospital via ambulance as I became incredibly ill... They kept me in overnight with a 'UTI', good thing they did, as my right kidney had completely shut down! DD had completely blocked my ureter (the tube between my kidney and my bladder), and I had backflow back into my kidney. There wasn't just a 'smear' of blood anymore, not good :no:(TMI).
I ended up in hospital for 2 wks with IV AB's and a drip.. They told me if it didn't clear up they would have to insert a tube into my kidney to drain it that way, until they could safely bring DD into the world... I never drank soo much water in my life!!

Not saying this to scare you, just letting you know the importance of making sure you take the right AB's and drink LOTS of water.
Spotting however can also be very common in pregnancy.. I know it's TMI but it could come from anywhere, IYKWIM?
The ultrasound was probably a precautionary thing as there was bleeding, probably more so to check you out. I was absolutely terrified as I had lost a LOT of blood, but I had 2 scans in hospital and DD was fine. No issues whatsoever.

My ultrasound went well ..
Saw baby and babys heart beat .. it was 130 per minute!
But baby is due August 10th .. hehe so i'm leaving this group but i'll drop by and tell you guys what's going on!
Plus they will probably change my dates again hahaha I might be back and forth!

My bleeding has sorta stopped, still a little bit every now and then but i have thrush now :no:

okay, im getting really fustrated now
I went to the emergency department for pain in my lower left abdomen and thick yellow / green discharge...baby is fine :) had all the tests for any infection, but supposedly no infection present, still getting the pain and the discharge
Why do doctors make you feel like youre a paranoid idiot when you ust want to know what is up!!!!!! apart from not putting your mind at ease it makes you feel stupid
