I am having my first baby, and recently - weird questions pop into my head that I never thought of before ... like

how much folate is in a snickers bar?

is a bowl of icecream 1 calcium serve or 2?

is it safe to have a baby seat in a convertible?

why do celebrities never get stretch marks?

does angelina jolie have an australian kid yet? maybe my people should talk to her people

why do maternity clothes only comes in 2 styles - hideous or hilarious?

where on earth is the perineum?

if no one ever told me before you're meant to massage your anus before labour, what else haven't they told me!!!!?

Anyone else find themselves thinking things that they never even imagined before???

LMFAO! :laughing::laughing:

What i would like to know is WHY are maternity clothes so expensive when you only get to wear them for a few months???
ohh and when i was preg with DD i discovered pregnant women must not get cold in winter, i have never seen a maternity jumper, i think i went to 4 or 5 different shops looking!

trust me i still ask myself questions like this and this is #2 for me, you are not alone at all.

Right on TuttiFrutti!

I first read this at work earlier today and couldn't restrain the cackling. Very nice... thank you for many laughs!

If you find the answers to these questions, especially the ice cream one, be sure to let me know! Some answers to your questions: the perinnium is somewhere that you will no longer be able to reach very soon. And THAT is what you are supposed to be massaging... or so a friend at work has already told me ... although I didn't believe him and so Google proved him right. The webpage I found it on claimed I could "Get my partner to assist if required" which does sound very ROMANTIC, doesn't it?!

Hey honey, can you rub my feet and my **** while you're down there?! Hmm... maybe not. It's hard enough in my house getting a BACK RUB!

What am I doing this weekend, you ask? "Oh well we're staying in for a fun night of **** ticking..." - I DOUBT IT!

Other questions that have arisen are:

Why do strangers feel the need to give advice to all pregnant women, even when not requested? Will EVERYONE over the next 6 months think they know more than I do?

How can I tell someone that I am NOT A BUDDHA AND DON'T WELCOME MY BELLY BEING RUBBED SO BUGGER OFF! nicely....?

I'm sure there are many more questions but I am so hungry I can't think straight (I feel like this 90% of the day by the way!).

Best of luck finding the answers to your questions TuttiFrutti. If you need me to draw a diagram, let me know!!!

HI Girls ....sorry to crash your thread but I couldnt help myself.

Your thoughts on perineal massage just makes me remember my own reaction to that

('you are suggesting I get DH to massage WHERE?!!!!")

And Noosamum - as to the unwanted advice, sorry to say but - get used to it.........it gets MUCH worse once you have had the bubby. Everyone has an opinion, and no matter what you do it is definately wrong according to someone - who wont hesitate to tell you !!!!!

Best of luck to all of you .... :hugs:

Also there is another thread going around here somewhere about things you wish you were told about .... have a read...

I don't think I want to know anything about that massage thing ... can you even imagine asking someone to help you out doing it? Being a single mum, it's not something I would ask a hand for on the first date

ok, another one - does this fabric/pattern/colour disguise wee/poo/vomit? (that's for re-decorating)

and for twins - if I teach them to dress each other and put food out the night before, could I sleep in?
