I have co slept with dd2 since she was newborn , not by chioce as was the only way it would work , but almost 2 years later we still goin at it , its so hard..

i dont want to make her go to her room an scream it out cause i think it could be damaging.. I usually put her in her bed before i got to sleep thou but she is usally back in there by the early morning or about 5-6am .

whats the longest do ppl co sleep ? i wont be co sleeping at 4 i tell ya ! ;)

anyways - id like tips on how to teach her thats her bed ,, when i tell her to go to bed or lay down she goes to my bed , so she thinks that her bed to ;)

I'll cosleep until our children decide to move into their own beds.

DS is 3 years and a few months old and we got him his own bed a few months ago... he has had one night sleep and one day sleep in there. As he gets older he will move in their gradually on his own terms.

Most small children given the chance to do it in their own time will make the move around 3 or 4 years old.

Though if your daughter is staying in her own bed until 5 or 6am, I wouldn't really call that cosleeping anyway - she's coming in to you at wake up time.

I was going to say the same thing, you're getting all night in bed by yourself, it's not really co-sleeping anymore. You've successfully transitioned her, because she is sleeping all night in her own bed.

I think it's lovely she still wants lots of cuddles from you :hugs: Valentine :hugs:

People co sleep as long as it suits them. If it doesn't suit them then its a problem.
We are not co sleeping any more. My eldest would still be with us I think if we didn't have our boys. Now she sleeps in her bed in her room alone and she is happy. My boys sleep in their room. My youngest has never liked co sleeping, he loves his cot.
Its worked out okay for us.
