I've been getting severe headaches and the panadol doesn't help at all so i'm wondering is there something stronger i can take?
They were never this bad with DD but this time round i am in so much pain i have to go to bed and put a wet cold cloth over my head. Mind you i can only do this when DH is home to look after DD. I'm finding i wake up with a slight headache, and go to bed with a severe one day in day out.
Thanks

I rubbed a little tiger balm on my temples when i had headaches during my pregnancy, all you do is smear a tiny amount on your temples, rest for about half hour and you feel 100%

Im in the same situation. Its awful isnt it.:(

The midwife at the hospital sent me home last week with a box of Panadeine. It's a little bit stronger.

Other than that, im just surviving on the cold washers as well. Bring on 6.00pm when DH comes home.

I swear by lavender essential oil for headaches when I'm pg. Rub a little into your temples.

Hi mummyofchaise,
I saw you post and know exactly how you feel. I got severe headaches from the day I conceived before I even knew I was pregnant.
They called them cluster headaches brought on by hormones. Apparently they are quite common although I haven't experienced them in previous pregnancies.
My ob gave me panadeine as she said panadol was useless for them (she was right). And in extreme case I could take a panadeine forte. I was having at least 8 headaches a day and was taking 6 /7 panadeine a day for the pain. In the end my doc prescribed endep which is commonly used for depression but is also used for this type of headache. I am on a very low dose 10mg and they are working a treat. I now only have maybe 1/2 a day and don't need to take anything as they seem to go fairly quickly. I would say to you to check with your doctor and ob and see if you can get something prescribed to you if they are bad. A lot of women just struggle through it and you don't need to. In my case I was ready to chop my head off to have a break from the pain lol. I hope you are feeling better and all the best.

I get constant migraines and I swear by digesic, which you can take while you're pregnant.
