Hi Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just got a quick question :yelclap:

My DP is an Essendon support (his whole family, like WHOLE family, is Essendon) and I am a die-hard Saints supporter (my whole family is Saints).......and we are both big sporting families.....

So there is current debate as to who bubz will be going for.......there are pro's and cons for both teams......and it is quite a funny deate because we're not too serious about it but both sides have bought bubz a little jumper and my mother has already got it a saints membership.....

So just wondering if anyone else has been in a similar situation and how it has been solved???? Did you let your child pick or flip a coin???

Well I think that the best thing that you can do is let bubz go for the CATS ;)

ooooh - I totally feel your pain. My DH is from South AFrica and a DIE-HARD Springbok supporter. I, obviously, am I absolute Wallabies nut...so we have the same problem. And not just with rugby. With all sports.

My DH and I made an agreement. DD will support the South African Springboks in rugby - but Australia in every other sport.

Lucky we both support the Mighty Bombers! Now, as far as I am concerned - there is no choice regarding AFL! I'm with your DP! :p

Buy him/her membership and jerseys for both teams. They only play each other once or twice a season so bubz wears Saints jerseys on Saints days and Bombers during their games. On THOSE days (you know - when the Saints meet the Bombers ), let him/her wear a Cats jumper and be Switzerland ie. (neutral and therefore cant be called on for an opinion). :p

You'll probably find they'll pick their own team when they're older anyway. If bubz is a girl she might even do something similar to what I did and pick the team with the sexiest players initially (Tony Modra did it for me but in my defence I've been a loyal Crows fan since 1993!).

funny thing is..when they get older they might decide to choose a totally different team! in my family my mum is carlton so are my older sis, me & little bro but my dad is a mad saints supporter but then there is the dreaded older bro who goes for collingwood heh:D it will depend on who the children like when they are older but for now make the most of bubs going for both teams :)

let the kid choose.. when it's old enough anyways..

DF is a fanatic Eagles supporter where as I am a Blues girl. DS1 quite happily sists in his Carlton jersey cheering for the Eagles :p He'll choose his team when he's old enough to care about the game.
