my dd has just exploded out of her nappy for the 2nd time today! ewww.
I think she is either teething or has a virus. Prob a virus. I had the flu last week and DH has tonilitis this week. (more vegies me thinks)
What can I feed her to help clog her up. I stopped juice and we are now only on water.
Weetbix and...
aardvark

This is what a pharmacist told me when I had gastro and was breastfeeding:
Boil some white rice in plenty of water.
When cooked, drain and keep the water. Drink the water.
After a while (and the water DOES make you feel better), eat the rice mixed with some grated peeled apple and a little sugar. The apple contains Pectin, which has been used to bind the gut in preparations for gastro.
It worked wonders on me, should be fine for a child, too.

I think its probably more a matter of feeding her really, really basic foods. Nothing taht will upset her tummy. I would avoid dairy and anything too rich. stick to plain toast, dry biccies, taht kind of thing. Aarvark's thing sounds liek a great idea. Keep her fluids up - she will be loosing alot.
Hope she is feeling better soon:hugs: to you both!
Depending on how old she is - mashed banana dried up runny poos! ;)
I'm sorry to be off topic here but i have to say i laughed so hard when i read the title of this thread! Unfortunate choice of words i think! :p So funny!

Oh Puk!!! :p
Back to the topic:
Get some Hydrolyte ice blocks and feed her water..Small amounts often. Boiled water too and not water out of the fridge.
It depends on her age too. If she is able to eat water crackers, then they help, but it really needs to run its course (no pun intended). Just make sure she is drinking clear fluids..
My (limited) experience says: keep fluids up, VERY important. Avoid dairy, which can make it worse. Hope she's better soon.

What to eat with.....I just realised how funny that sounds. DUh:o :o
Any hoo.. sent DD to day care today...usually they wont take her with the runs..viruses and all that...
I told the ladies she wasnt well and to call me and I would leave work if they needed. I asked them to keep an eye on her temp...no juice today at all and lots of water.
All went well she had a great day..I think it might be juice I have only started giving it to her they last maybe ....2 months and just changed flavours...cranberry aand something...so I think we might ban the juice until she gets older. They eat all the time its really quite hard to put it down to one thing so we will start there.
Thanks for putting a lighter note on the subject! cracked me up!
Whenever mY DD has the runs I give her banana. It clogs her right up:smiliedance:
