How long express milk last

Just a quick question!

I'm planning a few day trips for my DD to go with her nanna so I need to express some milk. They will be out for about 4 hrs so she will need a bottle during that time.

So my question, if you are out how long does express milk last. I will put the bottle in a cooler bag (they will be in air-conditioning).

I frequently give my Mum EBM to feed DD while they are out together. I treat it as I would normal milk. As long as the milk stays cold it should be fine. If the milk is no longer cold or it has come to room temperature I wouldn't take the risk. If in doubt, chuck it out. Just remember to cool the EBM in the fridge before you put it in the cooler bag. If you put freshly expressed milk in a cooler bag it will take ages to get cold (because it comes out of your body warm) and that could allow bugs to grow.
