DD is 19 months old and I first introduced a toothbrush to her when she had about 6 teeth - just in the bath I'd move it around her mouth and then let her hold it and play with it to familiarise herself with it.
Now she has nearly a full set and I'd like to start a formal brushing routine, she's decided she won't have a bar of it. I try to put it in her mouth and she just clamps shut and turns her head away. I'm wary of turning this into a huge drama every night, but I'm pretty committed to dental hygiene and want to get her into good habits for life.
Any ideas on turning this scenario around? Thanks.
