Well i love watching Most Haunted it's a great show on foxtel , it's a show about investigating ghosts storys and seeing if they are real ,
well have you or do you know of anyone who has had some haunting or ghost or the unexplained things happen to you or them?
i would love to know,
ok here's mine , well one day i went for a run and it was such a nice day i thought
i would stop and just watch the ducks in the lake and then i just started seeing things i saw my Poppa reaching out for my Nanna's hand , and my Nanna had already passed away and was in heaven , so i just said to my Poppa it's ok you can go now , and my vision of them was gone and then i got home and my Dad answered the door and said your Poppa died half an hour ago love i said i know.:crying:
ok i have another one when i was getting ready to have a C-section my Dh could come in with me which was great but i would have loved it if my mum could be in there to but they said only one person with me , and while they were getting everything ready i was thinking about my sister Bronwyn (Bonnie) who passed away , and i said to my Dh i wish Bonnie was here to and my Dh said i'm sure she is, and then a midwife came in and said Hi i'm Bronwyn i'm here to look after you today , well my Dh and i just looked at eachother and smiled what a sign that was. from Kylie.

I love ghost story's and getting spooked, i just get chills up my spine when i hear them. I don't have any good ones but i wont forget this.
A few years ago my sisters, brother and friends decided to have a seance and we contacted an old school teacher, who died from cancer, her husband was a train driver and killed himself because he ran someone over by train and couldn't handle living with this every day.
Anyway we asked this teacher if anything bad was going to happen and she said yes but she wouldn't say who it was going to happen to, any way this was on a saturday night and on monday at school, we found out a girl had just been hit by a train up the road. I knew her she was in my year. This really freaked us out as her husband was a train driver, and we all believe that this seance was real.
In the house where I live now I often wake up to someone calling my name. I have also had a cold cold hand on the lower part of my back while I was sleeping, and which woke me up. I also had a friend over and they were sharing my bed (I don't have a spare bed... nothing dodgy) and anyway they said they saw a black figure floating around my mirror which is near the foot of my bed. I usually have scarves hanging on it which weren't there at this time, but my friend just assumed they were the scarves.
Also, in my parents house we heard someone running around inside the roof all the time. Not animal steps, but someone with shoes on. I have also been tapped on the shoulder there, had someone sitting on my feet while I was reading in bed and lights on and off as well as the radio ("Red Right Hand" by Nick Cave came on...) urgh!
That's all I can think of but I completely believe in ghosts or spirits or whatever you want to call them...
 You guys are giving me goosebumps (and my dp is going to work in half an hour and I'll be here by myself) ARRGGHHHH!!!

Well, this is what was in the other post
I've had my grandfather visit me twice, the most amazing one was staying at my grandmothers, sleeping in my mothers old room and absolutely sick as a dog. Something stroked my face, I said "Thank you pop" and went to sleep - later I found out that's what he used to do for my mum to calm her down when she was sick.
Or pets that visit. The day after I put down my gorgeous baby girl (who was 16yo) I could distinctly smell her fishy breath as if she was still asleep on my pillow lol Ok, so it wasn't pleasant but it was nice to know she was happy where she was.
But hey let's write em all...
First up, my grandfather died of a heart attack in that house, and the family have had many conversations and we all agree that he is still there. Most noticable between his birthday and just after his death (july 3rd to july 16th or there abouts).
The first visit I had from my grandfather was during my 'nightmare' phase, mum wasn't sure about letting me stay at grandmothers because of this, but finally gave in. And yes I had my usual nightmare, but then some guy turned up and said "It's ok, your safe, go back to sleep". I had no idea who he was but it worked and I never had the dream again.
My grandmother didn't start disaplaying his photos again until about 6years later, when I remarked "That's the guy from my dream! Who is he??" ... lol my grandmother got the shock of her life :p
My grandmother had a good one too. They had a cat for, hell, could've been 20 years lol And "it" (We never knew it's sex) used to jump on the bed every morning to let grandma know it was time it went outside.
Poor cat got a tumour and had to be put down, about a week later though my grandma called and said -for a moment this morning I thought Ginge was still here, I felt a cat walking up the bed, but then nothing...
Other pets have visited. One which had runaway and I saw her in a dream and knew she was dead... told mum to stop looking for her.
And I suppose lastly, my other grandma 'Oma'. She had cancer and anytime I saw her she was sitting in bed, and we'd just have a lot of heart to hearts about problems (I was going through puberty lol), after she passed I was just in shock, and it wasn't til a couple of years later that I had a huge problem I knew only Oma would know the answer to.
I had a dream that night where we were in her bedroom, but she didn't look sick. We started to have a conversation and she cut me short with "Whats wrong, I know something is wrong so just tell me"... I don't remember telling her, and I don't remember what she said if anything, but my problems just seemed to fade in the following days..
So theres some good ones for ya, not too freaky :yelclap:

Now there the dreams I freak out about, not because their scary but because it's just so real! Good feelings though ;)
When my daughter was a couple of months old, i couldnt wait to put her into her new cot to see how she looked in it (she was sleeping in the basinet)I had her room looking beautiful and some helium balloons were tied to the end of the cot.
So I placed her in her cot, she had her head turned towards the wall and was smiling and gurgling, i thought it was a bit strange so i got her father and showed him, after he left i was leaning over looking at her when i felt one of the balloons land on my back so i turned around to get it off except there were no balloons there, they were in front of me the entire time
It took me about 6 months before i could walk through the house with the lights off.
My Nan lives with my Aunt and the showers in her house used to turn off and on all the time (my nan has 2 dead husbands) and lots of other spooky stuff happens to her aswell

Mine arnt really that scary (thank goodness)
My Pa (grandfather) passed away in there family home. My Nan still lives there. I can feel his presence in his bedroom.
Im sure passed family members have come to visit my daughter. One occasion I had her on my lap watching TV, all of a sudden she starts chatting away (in her own baby way) to the vaccant space beside's me. She only talks this way when someone is chatting to her.
We dont really have alot of spirits here, its a new house. But I know what my partner is going to say before he says it. Its kinda funny. I play on it and answer his question before he asks it. At first it used to freak him out but now he just laughs

In the house that I grew up in we had a couple of ghosts - One notable one was in the toilet. Yes, in the toilet. People used to think I was joking when I said this, but from a really young age, I was really scared to go to the toilet by myself, especially at night. It would be okay while you were actually using the toilet, but when you flushed it - It was like the hairs on the back of your neck would stand up, a cold shiver went up your spine, and you felt like you JUST HAD TO GET OUT OF THERE - NOW!!!
So anyway, this went on for years, everybody who came over and used the toilet would comment on the spooky feeling in there, even when we hadn't told them anything about it.
One night, my family were all sitting down to dinner and discussing the ghost in the toilet, and how bizzarre it was that someone would pick a toilet to spend their afterlife it! LOL. Mum and Dad kept referring to the ghost as "it" (as you do). My 16-year-old self turns around and says "Stop calling him it - His name is Henry" without even knowing that the words were going to come out of my mouth. Mum, Dad and my siblings just sat there looking at me like "what?!" and after a bit of the pause the conversation went on.
Anyway, later that week, dad's going through the documents to the house, and lo-and-behold - the previous owner of the house, who's dead - his name is Samual Henry Hollows......and people were called by their middle names back then. Freaky. We spent ages trying to convince Henry to go home - go towards the light. Nothing ever worked until mum and dad started rennovating their house - Mr Hollows must have decided it wasn't his home anymore, and doesn't live there now - the toilet no longer stands, the laundry is now in its place.

i have one
My DF's aunt used to own a house that whenever i went to it i was freaked out and i didnt know why. its a queenslander with the underneath biult in. Anyway Aunty finally told me why i was so freaked out. Aparently one ofthe previous owners was a real jealous man who never let his wife do anything or see anyone for fear she would cheat.
He started to build a wall around the house so she couldnt get out. part of it still stands. anyway another man came and rescued the wife and took her away and the husband killed himself in the downstairs part of the house.
Now my aunt is a psychic sort of person and she says because of his evil the husband is confined to the house and can only go free if he can posess an innocent.
I was sceptical so she took me down to take a look and sure enough you can see his outline in the room. he is huge. at the time she took me down there i was pregnant and the baby was peaceful until i stepped into the room then she went nuts till i got out and far away.
Aunty had friends stay in the downstairs and they had a baby with them and the mother woke to see a shadow bending over her baby and she will never go to aunties house again.
My brother went in there and started walking towards the shadow and was struck by what he described as a cold hand the was so strong it threw him backwards.
Aunty has done things to get rid of spirits before but this one is far too powerful. Even tho he cant get upstairs he still manages to slam doors and knock on windows, its freaky.
Luckily aunty doesnt own the house anymore. i have tons more i could tell from what aunty has experienced but some are so out there i dont think you guys would believe me.

I dunno, I believe pretty much anything about ghosts and spirits.
The thing that most stands out of my experiences was the first time I went to DF's parents house. They live on a farm in the house that was originally built by DFs great grandfather. They were showing me round the house and when I got to the doorway into the hall, I felt like I didn't want to walk down there, like I was trespassing on someone elses territory. As we drove away from the house I said 'there's something about that house babe' he laughed and said 'what?' without even stopping to think how I knew it I said 'your grandfather died in that house'. Well DF went white then recovered and said 'alright then, where?' as if he was making fun of me. Again, without skipping a beat, I said 'in that hallway'. He was quiet for a long time and then we just had a normal conversation. It wasn't until months later that he told me he had watched me as we came up to the entrance to the hallway and I had hesitated before going down there. It wasn't a malevolent feeling, just that there was someone there and it was their place not mine.
I've got more but their way too long. I'll have to try and shorten them before typing them for you guys!!

this thread is great! im not allowed to tell my friends about my experiences, they get too freaked out! hey all, so i've got quite a few, as my mums house is haunted where i grew up. she still lives there too, tho im convinced that one of the ghosts from my mums house, Travis, still visits me where i live now, as he has pretty much every house i've stayed at..
There are 3 main ghosts at my mums, Travis is a little boy, he likes to move my things around on me, hide keys, books, pens etc. he also likes to appear to us and to visitors (heaps of people have described seeing a little boy smiling at them, one reckons travis waved to him even). Travis is generally pretty harmless, it gets annoyin when he hides money and ya find it a week later in your fridge, but we've never had too much trouble. The worst was probably that my friends would not let me stay over at their houses because travis would follow me and freak them out. People would quite often comment theyd seen me with someone when i was alone. Also, we never named travis, it was a name given to me and my sisters when we did a seance in our garage, and it also told us to stop the seance, to not let any others thru that werent meant to be there. We freaked a bit and stopped.
The other two main ghosts that "live" with my mum are an old lady who likes to move the dishes around and you can sometimes see her sitting out with the chooks and then there is the other, who, we've not named.
Im not sure how i feel bout the other one, we think its a man, at times i think he's being protective of us, at other times i think he's possessive of us. Reasons being: my mum has vents in the ceiling, these will drop out of the ceiling, hover, and then fly diagonally across the room, aiming at peoples heads. Never one of the family, always a male "friend" whos visiting. funny thing is, any one who has been aimed at, later on would be found to be untrustwothy, so are the flyin vents warnings to us? He also likes to push people off their chairs, again, only happens to certain people. when my mum had jehovah witnesses over they would not stay, they told my mum that something wouldnt let them sit still, they could feel a cold force pushing them out the door. again, those particular jehovahs witnesses later turned out to betray my mum. so again, a warning?
Other strange things that happen at my mums, when you walk down my mums hallway to go to the bathroom, you'll see your reflection in a floor to cieling mirror at the end of the hall. On your way back, if you turn around, you'll notice there is no mirror, there is a bookshelf full of books. There has not been a mirror there since i was 5. You can watch her many pet dogs and cats walk around things that arent there, hiss at thin air, jump over thin air. You can actually notice the drop in temperature when one of them is near you, and its always only where they are, it doesnt affect the temperature in the whole room. You can hear heavy footsteps draggin something behind them in the roof some nights, I used to hear my name being called to me from my bedroom at the end of the hall when i was a kid when no one was there. My mum has heavy velvet drapes on the windows, one night they were blown out flat across the cieling as if in a huge gale force wind, but the windows were closed. My sister reckons her bed would move on her when she was in it.
Two of the scariest tho were when i was 12, i was in bed reading by my lamp and my sliding door opened on its own. i stared at the empty doorway for a bit and this floating/hovering round blue light appeared, about the size of a tennis ball, and it seemed to just hang there suspended midair, and suddenly it just came for me, quick as anything, and just as i screamed, it diverted and hit my lamp, which exploded, and the light thing whatever it was, disappeared. My mum woke up n came runnin in and we saw that my glass coverd lamp, and the globe were shattered all over my bedside table and all over my bed, and some on me too. i was only cut in two spots and not badly, but it was scary. The other thing that happened that i thought was a bit creepy was when i was about 14 i saw the clothes on the line out the back go up in flames, but when i ran out there to put the fire out, there werent even any clothes on the line.
Well gonna have to cut short, visitors just turned up, will tell you more if you want later..

hello Ruby Slippers, i sent u a pm but it said you had chosen not to recieve any. im pretty sure you know the town that my mums haunted house is in; Hastings. thought you mite find that interesting? Well, anyway, off to bed for me.

I have one,
When my mother was younger 17 or 18, she did a seance (sp?) with some friend, apparently nothing happened. But that night when she was in bed, a really cold pair of hands grabed her anckle and pulled her out of bed. It was such a hard pull that she was thrown to the other side of the room. She never understood what went wrong but upon seeing a spychic, she was told that they hadnt closed the seance properly and had let out an evil spirit. Freeked my mum up big time. Never did it again.
Now my DP used to live in an old house in hawthorn with three mates when he was 22 or 23. They had weird stuff happen there including a ghost mouse that would run thru walls that they all saw. Something was up in that house and no one wanted to go into the back room because of the feeling that overwhelmed you when you went in.

I have one,
When my mother was younger 17 or 18, she did a seance (sp?) with some friend, apparently nothing happened.
Something was up in that house and no one wanted to go into the back room because of the feeling that overwhelmed you when you went in.
now that's scary  thanks for sharing :D

ok ruby, i'm here but i'm too scared to read any of the other stories. i'm just reading people's reactions to them. and if they're scared then it just confirms that i especially can't read it. and i found a whole other thread with the same stuff and couldn't bring myself to read the stories.

Ok, I have a few freaky things. My mum has had the worst experiences, none of which I knew about until I read a story she had written about how she found God (she is very spiritual). She wrote about 3 evil spirits that used to attack her in her bed when she was young. They used to come at her and she would close her eyes and pray for God to help her and then they would go. It wasn't until I read her story that I remembered this happening to me (but with only 2 spirits). I thought it was just my imagination, I would hide under the covers for ages, usually until I fell asleep.
I also used to see a young lady and a little boy standing in the door way of the room I shared with my sister. At another house I used to hear footsteps coming up the stairs and then no one would pass my room. I have also felt someone standing near me, only to turn around and find no one there. No heres the freaky thing... my sister has experienced the exact same things!!! We didn't know about the other until only about 1 year ago, when we were discussing ghost stories.
Our dog also used to get his hackles up and bark at the corner of the room, and he was a very placid labrador!
A friend of mine also told us about a time he walked past his kitchen and saw someone standing in their kitchen. They thought it was their flatmate until they saw them sitting in the lounge room. He went back to check and saw their dog backing out of the kitchen with his hackles up and growling at the ceiling. He says someone who lived there had been cursed by a witchdoctor in Africa and strange things kept happening while he was around!!! FREAK ME OUT!!!
Can't think of anything else right now. But I have certainly been freaked out by the other posts. Now I have to go outside and feed the dogs...

I remember when I was little (about 3 or ) whenever I went to bed and was trying to sleep a white blob-like thingy would appear at my door, mumeventually moved my bed so I wouldn't see the door but the white blob would appear anyway, I have no idea what it was (still don't) maybe it was something out of the ordinary, maybe it wasn't. Who knows?
Also a little while back I was at home with Hayley (Hayley was only about a year old, she was asleep at the time) and I heard a really faint voice call my name (it was a lady's voice) I am thinking maybe it is my mum (she passed away when I was 8) or maybe it was my guardian angel. :detective:

well i might aswell post in the lost thread:P
Been pyschic i have had many spirts come to me, but they usualy go after seeing "the light" lol
Anyway when i moved out home when i was 18 with a mate, i was sitting in my new room when i saw a little girl running down the hall.
I went after her and she was in my mates room in the corner crying.
I told her to try and find the light, and she wouldent, so i talked to her for a bit and she left.
Well she decided to stay and the longer she stayed the more angry she became.
My mate was having a shower one day i assume the little girl pulled her hair and pushed her over.
Lots more happened but i dont wont this to became a novel LOL
Anyway we decided to move, i moved in with my DF and she moved back in with her mum
As i left the house the little girl was standing inside the house, with the most evilest grin i've ever seen.
Scared the **** out of me
After my nana died, a few times at night I would go into my parents room and I could smell her. It was a very distinctive smell, it was that of medicated soap. She had very bad psorisis and had to use medicated soap for it. It scared me the first couple of times but then I realised it was her way of saying hello to me. It has stopped now, I think she found the light and moved on.
I went to a medium who crossed over with my best mate who died of Cystic fibrosis. She explained she was there with a boy who couldnt breath anymore. She also said this boy was playing the guitar singing. This was Aaron.
One evening at our very old house, my brother went for a shower. He started screaming. We ran in and he said that Gerard, Aarons brother (aaron who died of cystic fibrosis) was staring at him through the window. Gerard also died of CF and was very close to my brother. My brother had never forgot that evening and refuses to speak of it.
When you visit Aaron and Gerards house you can feel the strongest presense in the Pool room. This is where they spent most of their time playing pool. First I could feel it when Gerard died first. I would rush through the room so fast. But then Aaron died and you could feel it even stronger.
The medium also asked me who the "black man who hung himself was" (and used the pulling of the noose with her hand type of action)I was in shock. I had actually not thought of my friend Lucas for a long time. He was african and had hung himself at Latrobe university after a fight with his gf.
She also spoke of my nana and how she is the most routine spirit she had ever encounted. She said my nana was being so annoying about cups of tea and her medications. We still to this day laugh about her routine my nana was, the lady was spot on.
She also mentioned some personal stuff about me and my ex boyfriend. Stuff noone knew about, so there is no way she could have known except because of the spirit world.
And once I was home alone at my old house where I always felt a spirit and I was in the kitchen and my room was down the back. My stereo just turned on pumping Nirvana so loud. I was so scared. I checked to see if the alarm was on but it wasnt.
Also, my parents house I have always felt a presence, a presence that always visited me when I was home alone. If my parents went away with my brother, I could not stay there. I would have to stay at the lady next doors over night and come back in the morning. I always told my parents about this but they brushed it off. Well, we recently found out by the lady next door that the mother of the lady that lived in my parents house previously had died in my bedroom. I knew it. I knew it all along.
In the 70's my parents did a seance with their best friends. Mum has told me that my dad and his best friend ran out of the room screaming. My father refuses to speak of what was said in that seance. He has told me to never f*** with the dead and warned me against seances because of his encounter when younger. Mum will not speak of that night either.
And I have also had a photo of an orb at my parents. I had a friend who told me how to get orbs in your pics. So I did what she said, asked the spirits to surround my daughter and to be shown, and yep, there was an orb in the pic. My mum and I nearly fell off our computer chairs when we uploaded the pic. Very very spooky. We think it was my nana.
And thats about it. I certainly believe in the supernatural.
