Yes i am still researching! It never seems to end! Im still deciding and i seriously have no idea. I really half half. Im just wondering if there are any vax sites that are all for vax or is fully against it? I know its a weird question but every site i go to, they seem to use scare tatics! I just want to visit a site that has the correct infomation without trying to make you agree with them! Does that make any sense?

 makes sense :)
The way I looked at it was to make a list of what my concerns and questions are, eg:
* what are the ingredients of the vaccines? What are the risks of injecting these into a 2, 4, 6, 12 month old baby?
* What are the possible side effects of the vaccines? What is the risk of this happening to my child?
* What are the chances of my unvaccinated child catching these diseases naturally - taking into account the health and daily routine of my child, and the area we live in? What are the side effects of these diseases? What complications could there be, and what is the risk of my child developing these complications?
I went to websites like the health department, beaureau of statistics, and the manufacturer of the individual vaccines. I also found an online medical dictionary and found that very helpful.
I know I listed a heap of these sites in a previous thread in this section - but I have a new computer since then and have lost all my bookmarks
I also look at the motivation behind all these pro and anti websites. Who is gaining from this information being put out there? Look at the authors of studies - google the authors name and find out what other research they've done, and who pays for their research. Be careful not to just read the summary of a study - often the "summary" is written by a representative of whoever paid for the study, so it tends to focus on the parts of the study which will be financially advantageous for them.
Personally, I take things on the internet with a grain of salt.
Before I had my son vaxed, I asked a lot of healthcare professionals (nurses, doctors, midwives) what they thought about it.
There's too much misinformation on the internet. If you do decide to use the internet, as Queen said, check out who the author was and what they have to gain from the information provided.
Hi jaxcoop
I'm trying to research the same thing too and it's so hard. Not just to find some balanced information but to find the time to find the balanced information! Even if some information does present itself as balanced or unbiased, how do I know that unless I also read biased information :hair:
I'm coming from a point of view that I will most likely get ds fully vaxed, I just want to know what I'm subjecting him to.
Starting points:
Australian Government Immunisation site (http://www.immunise.health.gov.au/internet/immunise/publishing.nsf/Content/about)(obviously going to be pro)
Interesting article on Anti-Immunisation: Anti-immunisation scare: The inconvenient facts (http://www.skeptics.com.au/journal/1997/1_immunise.htm)
I wouldn't give much credit to websites that don't reference where they provide their stats from (eg if they may a statement like "x amount of severe reactions were recorded in 2006" without saying where they got this information from).
I keep googling stuff but I end up getting sidetracked and then not achieving anything. There's just not enough hours in the day.
Let me know if you find anything interesting. :flowerz:

For me I read the pro the anti and the manufacturers data. I cross check any medical terms and come to my own conclusion I then have to run it past DH who rounds me around in a few circles (being probably a little more pro than I am) and I go back and double check my facts.
