Hi there, DD feeds alot. But twice this week she has gone for 7 hours or more without BF. Each time she has had other babies around and they have been playing.
Today she has been so distracted from being at a friends that she hasnt fed since 2.30 and now it is 8.30pm and she is asleep without booby. She ate more solids than usual tonight and I think she had about 200 mls of fenel tea. I offered BF at about 6.30 and she had a quick 2 minute and then off to play.

I am just not used to my booby monster waiting so long between feeds. She isnt sick, she is happy she was just distracted with playing with another baby.

How many feeds does an 11-12 month old need as a minimum? I am not trying to ween and she doesnt have any other milk.

I would have thought 2-3 as a minimum as long as she was having other fluids

My DS is very similar. When we meet up with other babies or are out in public he won't have a b/f. He's far too interested in what's happening to lay down for a drink

All you can do is offer and she will drink if she wants to :) HTH

thats what i thought. anyway the next day she made up for it by feeding all day! my nipples hurt for the first time in ages. i guess i should keep trusting that she knows what she needs.
