My 14 month old son will go down for his bedtime sleep and 2 day sleeps perfectly for me but when his Daddy does it, he screams hysterically!!! :hair:

On weekdays he sees his dad for about an hour in the morning and perhaps 1.5-2 hours in the evening so I'm sure the excitement of playing with him has something to do with it.

There are going to be times when my husband will have to do it if I'm not here - especially since we have no.2 on the way and I won't be hear for a week.

How can I get my husband to put him to bed without the dramas!!??? He uses the same routine as me.

I think its normal i know that my kids wont do anything for DH as they know they can get away with it, LOL he gives in too easily.

Perhaps you can sit with bubs when your hubby does and see what happens. Do yousit with bubs when his going to sleep or do you put him to bed and leave the room? Just wondering if you sit there with him you could get dh to join you, maybe give dh some time with him on a weekend where he takes him to the park or does something one on one around the house and try let him do a few extra things or him. It sounds normal if his used to you settling him though :)

Good luck

Persistance is the key. He's doing it as he's used to his Mum doing it. Maybe for the first night, get him to do the routine with you and then slowly over the week, be there with DH when bub's goes to bed, but let him take charge, then after a week or two, bub's wont know any different.

It's normal, Bub's spend so much more time with their mum as most Dad's are working etc... it's only natural that they want mum instead.

DS was the same with DH, he still doesn't sleep during the day when DH is home on the weekends, but that's because Daddy is home and it's PLAYTIME :)
