OK, i think i know the answer I will get anyway:raspberry:
But we are going on holidays next week, for the week. We are staying in a cabin park with laundry and I am wondering do i do cloth(which is what I am leaning towards very strongly:thumbsup:)or do i get some eco friendly sposies??
I keep thinking NO WAY no sposies,DS has been sposie free for 12 months now, if not longer. But then I think I will be on holidays, so do I want to be washing nappies while relaxing.
What have you done and what would you suggest?

As you are used to cloth all the time anyway i dont think you will really notice it and honestly a load of washing doesnt take all day, you still have time to do other stuff :)

I went to my mums for a few nights the other week and i was thinking the same but i took my flats and i didnt even notice to be honest.

If you are worried though take a pack of sposies just encase there is no access to wash etc, the machines broken etc etc that sort of thing.

You will know when you get there what you want to do i imagine :)

haha, see the thing is Punk, I want to use cloth, and I think i will.
I have previously been to my Mums for a week and used cloth the whole time.
I really dont see the problem, at Mums I washed once!
Infact one reason we are staying at a cabin park is that it had the laundry, so I could use cloth!
But people are all asking if I am crazy etc, even clothies!
To go to mums I just packed the nappies inside the bucket and when we got there took them out, used the bucket all week, then packed it up again for the trip home.
I think I can do it. It makes sense to do it.

LOL well if you are happy to do it i say :) i guess the only drawback is if you are anything like me at places like that, you would like to sit by the machine why it washed :)

If you don't mind the washing, I say stick with cloth.

PMSL, I will be sitting there on top of the machine, waiting for my precious nappies to finish...........what if someone pinched them:laughing:

We went camping a few weeks ago and i took cloth and sposies, just incase.
I did use 2 sposies, one each night, mainly cause DS still wakes for feeds and i didn't want to be stumberling around in the dark for a midnight change.
My stash also wasn't quite big enough.
I hand washed in afternoons and hung them over the line to dry...no big deal.

It wouldn't worry me in the slightest washing the nappies during a holiday. If the access is there, why not take advantage of it?
I don't do sposies. I do cloth.

Thats what I thought too. I really cant get my head around using sposies,it would be a step backwards.
I CAN DO IT!!
So that is what I will do, thanks for the help ladies.

We are going down to my in-laws for two weeks next week, and while we use cloth 99% of the time, I do think that there are acceptable times for disposables. So I'm taking a handful of cloth for nighttime (I hate the thought of putting Jack in disposables all night again!), and for daytimes when I know that I can wash the next day. I don't want to have dirty nappies sitting around at my MILs. But when we get there (we are flying) I'll go and buy a bag of disposables for the days that we spend all day out visiting family etc. I don't feel at all bad about it, it's part of going on holidays.
But if you want to do full time cloth and can, go for it. I think its a good idea.
