hemp cotton fleece or hemp cotton french terry?

I wanted to make some inserts for some pocket nappies and wanted to know which one is more absorbent or just better in general? Hemp cotton fleece or hemp cotton french terry? Also do they shrink alot like bamboo?

they don't quite shrink as much as bamboo, it's usually around 10% shrinkage rate.

essentially they're exactly the same fabric, just the fleece has had the loops brushed out. so same fabric weight, same absorbency. fleece sewn with the fleecy side outwards may absorb slightly faster due to the increased surface area of the brushed side, but downside to that is that it does wear faster with washing if it's sewn that way. french terry is slightly trimmer (because the loops aren't brushed out)

other than that, it's just personal choice!
