View Full Version : Omg!!
Not too sure where this is meant to go? (Mods feel free to move it!).
But anyways today me, DP and DS went shopping, did what we needed to do, put the shopping in the car I buckled DS in the car and then was about to get in the car when I heard this little child screaming 'MUMMY' and RUNNING into the carpark, then I saw our friend reversing out so I yelled STOP (his name) and luckly he did but this little girl was very close to being ran over. He stopped and got out and I went over there. (Oh and this child didn't have shoes on and here today its at least over 40 degrees). So the poor little girl was still screaming and our friend asked if I wanted to go find her mum and off I went, found the mother at the checkout and I said to her "Your daughter was in the carpark and nearly ran over" and her reply: "Oh well!". I looked at her and shook my head, i was in shock. OH WELL?!
I went back to the car fuming to DP, I am still SO angry.

Its crazy isnt it... you need a licence to drive a car but anyone can have a child!!
I just don't get some people! The blatant lack of concern by that mother just makes me angry, and I wasn't even there.

Some people dont deserve kids.... sometimes i think we should need a parenting licence or something to have kids... it is so disgusting!
you should have either taken her to security in the centre or the police beat in the centre that way if the mother said that response to a police officer that would be a whole different kettle of fish iykwim
"Oh Well"is she kidding:shame:
How could any mother be so unfazed by such a horrible moment,I am more surprised by the fact that she did not even seem to notice she did not have her child with her.
Makes me sick to think of the kind of mothers some people are:crying:

A similar thing happened to me the other day. I was driving home from work and just at the top of our street (which is a busy road). There was a little boy standing on the side of the road. I got out and he started to cry, he was about 20 months. I picked him up and asked him where he lived, hoping he would point. He had no shoes on and had dirt all over him and scratches all up his legs from walking through the bush. So I started to walk to the closes house which was about 100 metres and yelled out if any one was home. Sure enough the father was building a shed out the back. I said "is this your boy" he said "yep". I said well he was in the middle nearly going to go on the road. He didnt respond, just snatched him off me, no thanks or anything. I then heard him go inside and abuse his other child for not watching him. The other child is about 8 for gods sake. He also had a terrible cold and I could hear his chest rattling as he breathed. I was in shock and so angry. So when I drive past there, I drive extremely slow and keep my eyes open for him. Even worse they h ave just put in a pool and that concerns me greatly.

I can't believe how some people are with their children! They are meant to be the most important people in your life. Some people just dont appreciate what they have!!! Lucky you were both there to help the poor children!

im so disturbed by these story's if i lose sight of my dd's for a second it feels like my heart stops beating till i see them, even at home.
i had a similar situation when pg with my first, in a shopping center that lead straight out to a highway there was a little girl about 3 years old, crying and wondering around, i went over to her as i saw her come in with her parents, and took her to her mum who was with a heap of friends in the bank, and handed her back, i did get a thank you though, but i am suprised she didnt panic at all once she realised her girl was missing and she never noticed. my god lady what if i some one snatched her would you even notice.
