Question about provera before clomid

Hi all,
I was hoping someone could give some advice...perhaps you've been here before?
I have just started taking provera to bring on AF and then I am supposed to start taking clomid on days 5-9 of AF.
Problem : have taken last provera last night and still no AF. No side effects either.
Help????:confused:
Has anyone got any info or experience with these drugs? Do you know how long it is supposed to take before AF arrives?
Any and all advice welcome.............:)

It has been a few years now but from memory it took a couple of days for the provera to work and for my period to start. Then once it starts the first day of your period is day one for counting to day 5 for the clomid. It took a couple of months for them to get the levels of clomid right, and then it was 6 months before we conceived. Good luck - hope it all works out happily for you.

Leilani--I just finished my last prometrium (similar drug, I think) on Sunday. I'm still waiting for AF. From what I understand, it can take up to 10 days to get AF. Good luck! :fingerscrossed: I'm starting clomid 50 mg. days 2-6 whenver AF comes!

Just for an update.....I contacted my doctor after 8 days of finishing the provera, and she recommended that I take another dosage but this time for 10 days instead of 5......well on the 6th day (today) I got my period!!!!!:yelclap: Who would have thought it would be so exciting? So, now I have to wait 4 more days to take clomid (sigh) and :fingerscrossed: hope that I don't have issues with that dosage too!
