Gift Hamper for Newborn Boy....Ideas Needed!

Two of DF's cousins have given birth in the last week to boys.

I am looking to make them a basket each as a gift of things that they might need

Im thinking things like baby wash, face washer blanket, towel etc....

Anyone have any other ideas?

a teether for later on
socks.. you can never have enough socks(or maybe its just cos i keep losing them.. lol :laughing:)
muslin wrap now its coming into hot weather
rattle
baby wipes

Muslin wraps!!! Invaluable for a summer baby. I got lots as presents and thought what am I going to do with so many but I used them for everything. And still do. You can get plain ones or really cute patterned ones.

I would probably say... A blanket (one that can be used in summer as well as in winter), a pair of baby clippers, baby hair brush, maybe a gift voucher for a nice baby store, or a 'coupon' for a few hours free babysitting by you or something.
A teether, a fresh food feeder (theyre on special at Toys R Us this week), maybe a pack of white or coloured cloth nappies..

OR If you go the face washer route, choose some nice cute ones and then roll them up like flowers and tie it up to make a 'bouquet' to sit in the basket. Singlets also work well with that, and you could use bodysuits just as easily.

Probably a bit late, but how about a nursery rhymes cd? I've given one to a couple of friends and they loved it because its not typically thought of.

you can also get cds that help baby relax and sleep.
