12.5 mnth - weight?

Just reading a few thread and people are concerned about bubs weight etc..

my bubs is 12.5 mths old and his 8.9kg and 76cm....

what was/is everyone elses bubs weight at this age?

DS has always been small...he was born 2.836kg...he has always been above 95th percentile in height, and in the 10th percentile in weight and HC in the 50th percentile....it has been this way since birth, i figure he is happy and healthy...and the red book is only a guide...i know...but just wondering...

My DS is 12 months old (just) and is 86cm tall and weighs 11kg.

Exactly!! I never take any notice of what the 'average' is anyway! Who made up this idea about average, what IS average these days KWIM?

As long as he is healthy and eating well then I wouldn't be concerned. :)

At least you will find it a lot easier to pick him up, carry him or play games with him! I have to plan around minimising picking up DS cos he's sooooooooooo huge and I have leg and knee injuries.

DS was 7.7kgs and 70cm's at 12 mths. He will be 2 in Jan and I doubt he would have hit 10kgs yet.

My DD was 9.38kg and 75cm at 12 months. (She was 3.1kg at birth).

DS1 is 2 in march and last weighted in at 8.4kg, 77cm that was in October
DS2 is only 3 mths and it already 5.5kg

My DS has just gone 3 months and weighs 7.8 kg....I hate to think what he will be at 12 months! To me he doesn't really seem big, but reading these posts makes me think that I have a monster on my hands!

At 12 months:
DS1: weight - 12.1kg height - 80cm

DS2: weight - 10.26kg height - 74.5cm

DS3: weight - 11.2kg height - 79.7cm


DS1 weighed the least amount at birth, followed by DS2, then DS3 weighed the most.

Yep, all completely different!

lol sounds like my daughter, she was 8.9kgs at 12 month checkup and was born 2.8kgs.

Although she put on a fair bit of weight in the first 6 months, she was 8kgs at 6 months :)

at 11 months dd is about 72 (or was it 75?)cms. She weighs about 8.5kgs and was born just over 3kgs.

friends baby is 7 months 11kgs and a few cms taller than my DD.

Reading this has made me feel alot better about my DS always thinking he is "underweight" when he is 8 kgs 70cms at 7 months. It just shows that you really can't compare with other babies can you? They are all so, so different!

My DS is 12.5 mths aswell. He is almost 12kgs and is 80cms tall.

At 12 months DS was 10.2kg and 75cm

6 weeks later he hasn't changed.

At 12 months my DD was 8.46kg and 63cms tall - she is on the small side considering she was 3.65kg at birth.

My DS2 was weighed yesterday (he is just over 10 months old) and he weighs 10.5kg and 72.5cm.. I was told at 6 months old he was overweight ( He weighed 9kg then)... And I wasn't worried as all babies are different in height and weight - INDIVIDUALS!!!!!
