Breastfeeding while pregnant..

anyone doing this at the moment? I am and wanted to know what others have experienced...

I'm not pregnant at the moment but I was breastfeeding my daughter when I was pregnant - my milk changed taste though coz I remember her pulling a face one morning as if my milk was off and I instantly knew I was pregnant! :tongue:

I kept persisting though and she got used to the taste but I have heard and known other babies to wean themselves off because of this.

Just make sure you still drink lots and eat well because you have 2 feeding off you! :goodvibes:

I'm breastfeeding my nearly 2 year old and am 21 weeks pregnant.

It's actually quite tiresome and painful - my breasts are empty and flabby and my son just wants to comfort nurse.

I'm hoping he weans before bub is born but if not, I'm not too worried :biggrin: I would feel awful forcing him to wean before he is ready so we take each day as it comes.

I was bf DD1 when I was pregnant and she self weaned when I hit 12 weeks, I think the hormones made the milk taste different, so DD1 self weaned and nearly 20mths. It was tiring bf and being pregnant, but I am pleased that DD1 self weaned and I didn't have to wean her or tandem feed (which I thought may be too much for me, although I admire mums that can do it).

You can still bf while pregnant. I know that there is a mum on here who is tandem feeding and has been for a while, cant remember her name, but she knows who she is.

So far my son has no problems with my milk flavour as he is still wanting lots during the day... My nipples are a bit tender some days but hopefully that will get better soon...

When I was pg and breastfeeding Ozzy loved the change in milk and would feed more. Once I had Isla though and the milk came back again he cut right back.

As for the sore nipples - yeah that part sucks dosn't it. I gets better though.

i am still bf my almost 11 mth old and am almost 6 wks preg.. have noticed that he is pulling off crying as if he is not getting enough. Maybe milk starting to dry up a little bit?
