What age did you start your baby on toast fingers? :detective:
About 10 months I think - mostly he just sucked on them though!

I first offered them at 10 months also. Now at 12 months he still doesn't eat them that well and mainly sucks the toppings off or chews then spits out! Have had more luck cutting up smaller bit sized squares. I know there are bubs you take to it straight away. They are all different.
9 months, he loved vegemite fingers :) I cut them up into tiny pieces. He had 5 teeth at that age.

I didn't do the "slops" thing with DS, he got finger food from around 7ish months, and toast was something he has always liked. Of course he only sucked it, it's more about teaching them how to pick something up and put it in their mouth, and getting a taste from it  He liked hommus, mashed avocado, bit of vegemite, etc, stuff like that.

I've just started at 7 months under advice from me echn because DD likes to grab everything rather than being spoon fed

DD is 6 months tomorrow... I am thinking about trying her on some toast fingers as she loves those little rusks, she sucks away for ages.
I was just going to get some wholemeal bread and give her it plain to start with.

At 9 months I tried some lightly buttered toast fingers. I actually broke the finger in half at first as DS would put the whole thing in his mouth and nearly choke!

I think about 7 or 8 months old with a bit of good ole vegemite.

I found muffins (English style) were a great first "toast" as they don't break off. Bub can suck on them until they are sloppy enough to swallow.
To be honest I can't remember what age I first gave them but I am guessing it was 7-8 months.
