Hi all,
My bub has a couple of small spots of eczema, nothing too serious but I wanted to get it under control early. I have been browsing the net and there seems to be some good things written about Calendulis cream? It has all natural ingredients in it. Has anyone given it a go??
Sure have - didn't work for us . Sorry...
Hi
If you are referring to the Grahams product then yes, we have and it made his eczema much worse. There was a thread about this product a while ago but it seems to have dropped off. If you do a search you should find it. I don't recall anyone saying they had success with their kiddos. But by all means if you want to, try it. Just patch test first.

We dont have eczema, but my sister does and i am not sure what she uses, but i know that it does have calendula flower in it. i have also used products with the calendula in it on my DS, and it is fantastic. if you go to a health food shop or natropath i am sure that they will know what the product actually does for your skin.

Hi, we tried it too and it made her breakout. Check out the bubhub reviews section for some suggestions on creams to try or the sticky at the top of this page :) http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/forums/showthread.php?t=117486
However the candulus cream has worked for some people. I still have a whole jar if you want it. Its only had a bit taken out to try on her and not used again.
It seems to work for my DD (it's a very mild eczema though). It works for her nappy rash too.

Calendula works for my youngest nappy rashes, and small patches of eczema or minor skin irritations.
What really works for my DS, who has shocking eczema, is a combination of bathing with oats in a sock and applying chickweed ointment directly onto the affected area.
Everybody is different, though. It's just a matter of trial and error.

Just normal run of the mill supermarket oats??? Might give it a try, I've tried calendula and it didn't seem to o anything. Where do you get chickweed ointment?
canberramomma we too use chickweed ointment on dd dribbly chin rash.......i'm still convinced it's not actually eczema as this is the only place she gets it!
We've had some success with chickweed...just from health food store.
