We lost our baby

I don't mean to make anyone not feel happy but I just wanted to say that we will not be having a baby in July any longer.

I had some slight bleeding yesterday afternoon and went to see my ob today for a scan and there wasn't a heart beat. We are very sad as on Friday I had my first scan and there was a heart beat. So sometime between then and now we lost our baby.

I feel I was just starting to get to know some of you girls and now I am saying goodbye.

You are all so thoughtful and so wonderful. I'm not sure how we will get through this, but one thing is for certain I know we will.

I have a WONDERFUL support system from my husband, girls and our families. Already I have been spoilt with flowers and chocolates.

My biggest saddness is for my girls, they were so excited about the prospect of a baby in the house and how they were going to be able to help. But I reassured them by saying that I also had some great news, 'the dr said that we could have another one'. So that bought on the smilies followed by heaps of tickles.

This is new territory for us but we will map our own path and one day we hope to add another member to our beautiful family.

Thankyou ladies. I am doing heaps better, thankyou to all of you lovely ladies, just the thought of everyone thinking of me has helped so much. I have be given to ttc when we feel upto.

My ob said that we could wait until my next AF but it was only so that we could date the pregnancy if I were to fall pregnant that is. He said that it would be fine if we ovulated before I got my AF to try again as plenty of women fall pregnant before they get there next AF. So I feel relieved now, just in case we catch the egg before our next AF, that I'm not doing anything that would hinder another pregnancy to full term.
