I have 2 girls aged 22 months and 5 monhs, I would like to gain work at childcare centres on a part time basis. Is there anyone that works in this industry that can tell me the possibility of me getting work and being able to bring my children along. Do many other parents consider this? I figure if I am already caring for children at home I may as well go out and work and look after other children.:flowerz:

alot of centers dont like your own children being at the same center as you but if you find a nice place then im sure if there were spots then it would be fine it would just be like enrolling your children for the days you happen to work there..

but if it was relief i think it would be a littler diffrent as they may not have the spots there for your children when they need you.

{relief work pays more:thumbsup: and if its anything like around where i am relief staff is always needed}

thanks for the quick reply. I thought that it may not be that easy or a lot more parents would do it. I may still give it a try though, nothing to lose really.

i have worked in a few childcare centres (pre child) and the bosses didnt like the parent workers bringing their kids in as it causes lots of problems.

if anything happens the care of your child would take priority over the other children and they dont like that personal attachment issue.

your best bet is to get your kids in a separate centre close to where you will work.

it will be best for your kids to so they can learn to grow on their own and they wont be able to run to mummy when something happens.

you will have to study to work in a childcare but that being said i didnt start my study untill i was there for over 2 months but i was there full time not sure if that makes any diffrents, :thumbsup: its great to get into child care and even better if you can find a center that allows your children good luck with it all.:thumbsup:
