Ok I have posted two threads, one in solids section and one in here, and im really not sure where it fits in now so bear with me..

I mentioned that dd has been waking at night after being put to bed for the night, at first every 20 mins and then it settled down again but tonight shes doing it every 20-30 mins again til about 11pm where I dont hear from her again.

I thought at first, it had somthing to do with her day sleeps. But I crossed that one out.

Then I thought it was maybe cause she is starting to want more solids, because she wont take anymore milk and only has 4 X 200ml bottles a day (shes been on one solid meal of pureed vegies for about 4 weeks now).

Then I put two and two together, and realised that this started when I gave dd some farex the other day, after her 3pm bottle. That was when the every 20-40 mins waking started.
It started to settle down in the next 3 days but she was still waking a bit. She also didnt poo on the day I gave it to her.

Not realising this may have been the problem, I gave her another try of it today after her 3pm bottle again. And she has now woken at 8.30, and 8.50 so far. Settles strait back to sleep though when i go to her. She also hasnt pooed today. Coincidence? I dont know :hair:

Sorry thats all a bit confusing lol, my question is:
has farex upset anyone elses bub's tummy, or is it just a phase that she is going through? As I know they can start to wake up more as they get older and need reasurance.

I have tried bonjella etc everything but she still wakes. up to 11pm where she doesnt usualy wake again til 6-7am. She is also happy enough during the day, she was very happy tonight.

Hi Metalhead,

I found Farex or any Rice Cereal to be a tummy upsetter for my bubbies too.

I thought I would suggest what I have found the best which is Baby Porridge and it's organic made from Oats (I get it from Coles or Woolies). The brand is Bellamy's and it's not the Rice Cereal one, that still upsets tummies I think. Also I mix a little pear into it every couple of days to help with the bowels :). I used this for both my Children with no issues. It is also great to thicken up or mix with any new fruits and veg you are introducing.

Good luck.
