 Hi, just wondering if anyone could help with a question. This is my third month ttc and i am using clearblue digital opt. Tested last night and the previous day and the LH surge was not detected. Tested 11am this morning and got the smiley face ( LH surge was detected). Would having sex around 11 tonight be too late in the cycle, as we have an xmas party to go to and won't be home. My partners in the Navy and leaves on Thursday for two months so i would like to make the most of the next day or two. Do i still have time to possibly get pregnant before he leaves. Thank you for reading.

OPKS predict ovulation 24 - 36 hours in advance, so you should be good,

However I'd check with the resident Dr's - Kittykatz or Baylismum

Sorry, OPK's don't work on Dr Kittykatz. Neither do saliva testers either!!

Ovulation predictors pick up the lh surge which happens 24 - 48 hours before you ovulate. So shagging tonight, tomorrow, the next day and the day after should see you in front!!! Goodluck catching the ever elusive egg.

I agree, BD the night of your surge and the following 3 or so nights.

Just remember (according to my gyno) it can take 8 hours for the sperm to reach the egg, so if you are going to O at 11am the following day (24hours), by BDing at 11pm the night before that is 12 hours between BDing and the egg being released. So GOOD TIMING!!!
