Still nothing!!!

:crying: my urine tests are still coming back neg!!! Im now two weeks late and two of the tests have been shown a VERY slight second line...
I think im still too early but god im so impatient!!!!
Anyone else take a while to show?

I have heard of ppl not getting a pos HPT until about 6 weeks, if that makes you feel any better? :fingerscrossed: :D

If you are two weeks late you are at leats 6 weeks pregnant. You should get a positive by now, but may not. Have you had a another blood test?

Get a blood test :) i guess that stressing or wondering etc about it doesnt help either!

Even if you are two weeks late, you may have ovulated late in your cycle making you earlier than you think. Many HPTs don't give a positive to 5-6 weeks. A blood test will give you an accurate answer.

I had a very early blood test and nothing showed up. I continue to do tests but nothing!!!
Everyone is saying i should be this or that... but i know when we had sex and i know when we would have concieved- and it was only two weeks ago. Im just getting impatient because i want to know!!

regardless of when you had sex and conceived, pregnancy is counted from the first day of your last period. And you said you are two weeks late for your period(making you 6 weeks give or take a few days) so you have either ovulated 2 weeks late(when your period should have come) in order to have conceived two weeks ago, or you are not pregnant and you period is playing silly buggers.Or as I think you might be, you are pregnant and for some reason urine tests are not showing it, I dont know why you have not gone for another blood test, if it were me I would have gone crazy by now

sorry but pregnancy is not always counted from your LMP.
i ovulate late so my LMP means nothing and is this way for many many people.
i am right now 28 weeks and 2 days pregnant, if i went by my LMP i would be 30 weeks on the dot.
i prefer an EDD from an u/s

heck if i went by my LMP for DD she would have been more then 4weeks over due....i thought 2 weeks 2 days was bad :laughing:


StrawberryTheMilkshake- from BH i have learnt that there are a few people who dont have HPT work for them. maybe give it a week or so and if still nothing head back to the doc and ask for bloods and an even maybe an u/s (just to have a look and make doubly sure)

Im sorry but it makes no sense. It will be interesting to see how it all turns out. I think a blood test is best and I dont know why you have not gone for another one when you are so keen to know for sure. heck I practicaly forced my doctor to give me blood tests

Have you only had sex once since your last period strawberry? Have you had 28 day cycles? Im trying to figure it out because it seems you are pregnant but the tests are not showing up:confused:

If you think you are two weeks pregnant there would be nothing there yet. The way it works is week one is your period, week two you ovulate(sometimes a bit later) and week three the egg implants. By about 3 and a half to 4 weeks the egg releases enough hcg to come up on some urine tests. sometimes it can take a little longer everyone is different.
If you only had sex once you may not have conceived that specific day it can take up to ten hours for the sperm to fertilise the egg, if the sperm dont find and egg I have read the sperm can live a few days and catch the egg on its way out. For a positive blood your hcg needs to be above 25, which is what most store bought urine tests detect.

no im actually 1 week 5 days.
im 28 and 2 days now and if i went by the LMP i would be 30 weeks today (12 days out)

women can ovulate at anytime really, some unfourtunetly dont ovulate at all.

its not impossible, the baby kicking the heck out of my insides and DD are the result of it


oh but also some women will who's period is not the regular 28 days (im 30 - 31 days) can ovulate really late.

oh yeah im bad at math, I know women can ovulate late. I think strawberry really wants to be pregnant and I hope she gets the results she wants :) I think as everyone has said a blood test is the best way. I will be surprised if strawberry is only 2 weeks pregnant as I would have guessed 5-6 but it will show that anything can happen :) oh I had a look on the bubhub due date calculator, if you are 2 weeks strawberry you will be due on 26 august!:)

flick how late do you think you ovulated? And I have also heard of babies measuring smaller or bigger on scans and that affecting due dates, making the lmp wrong..

i cant give what day i ovulate because all my pregnancies have been a wee bit of a suprise sp i have never had to work it out but if it helps my LMP was on the 8th of may and Conception occurred around the 3rd of june.

this baby we know the scans was right and matched with the bloods perfectly.when i should have been 7 weeks i went for my first u/s on a tuesday and bub was at 5 weeks 2 days, i went beck the next week on the thursday and bub way at 6 weeks 4 days (matching perfectly with the first u/s) and every u/s since has been the exact same due date (how lucky am i, most of the time they are a few days out but i always get the the 24th of feb) and early u/s are are very good indications as to the gestation of bub due to the growing precess, im not sure when the growth rate changes but at first its pretty much the same for everyone.
i was watched very close due to a m/c 2 months befor and that i will be having a c/s



if you go to google and type in ovulating facts you will find something that will explain it better then i can:thumbsup:

Have mainly only read the first message so apologies if I missed anything. I did two home tests that have a very very faint second line, went to the doctor to confirm and she said a line is a line and I was pregnant, she did another test which was also a faint line and she said Congratulations! So if you have had two tests with two lines I would have thought that was a good sign?

Its interesting how different periods, ovulation and conception is for everyone.
I dont want to go for another blood test because i would still be so early (according to my calculations) for it to show- i want to wait until i am much further and then do it. The DP even said to me "the blood test would not work if you were less than a week pregnant". HELLO THATS WHAT I WAS SAYING!
I went because of medication- i wanted to know....
My breasts are changing and my dh has noticed this also, i have huge "flutters" and sharp pains now and then in my lower abdomen and i truly believe i am pregnant- hence the two faint positives.
Im going to get the same brand of test i got the 2 faint positives on and try them in a few days. Im just impatient and want to know!!!
Thanks so much for listening to me. We didnt mind either way if we were or werent pregnant but now we have the idea in our mind, we would really like it!! But if it turns out we are not pregnant then it just means we have to BD some more....

You're talking about a 'normal' cycle which is actually not normal at all. Some women only ovulate in week 3, others in week 1. So using the doctors standard way for calculating pregnancy is not accurate. Most women I know dont have a standard 28 day cycle. Generally the only fixed part of the cycle is the luteal phase and even that can vary in length a day or 2 either side.

StrawberryTheMilkshake - if you think you ovulated 2 weeks ago then HPTs should start showing up soon if you are pregnant - thats assuming you arent one of those that the HPTs just dont work till much later on for some reason. Hang on in there! Let us know how you get on!
