View Full Version : Noticed Huggies Wipes are getting smaller?
Hi Everyone
Just wanting to know how many mums (& dads) out there who use 'Huggies Wipes' have noticed that the size has changed from 19cm x 19cm down to 17.5cm x 19cm....? Pretty cheeky considering the cost hasn't altered at all. Seems to be yet another situation of a company increasing their profit margin whilst deceiving the consumer. Just wondering......

A good way to get around this is to make your own reusable wipes! Good for the environment and your shopping total
Exactly! A flannel and water does the trick!

Or use a different brand. I use the Dove Swisspers unscented (bright yellow pack) $3.99 for 80 wipes. They are nice & thick and cos they don't have any scent, are good for allergy prone little bottoms.

It can always be worse!!
I have recently moved overseas and the huggies wipes here are half the size and thickness of what you get in Aust and twice the price!!
:p hi
amso happy im not the ponly one who had noticed this ,i thought i must be losing my mind i put the pkt in the rubbish so couldnt check .
isnt that just so lousey it may not seem like much but when your using almost twice as many cloths to change a poo then every cent counts

Hi All
This was pointed out to me as well, so contacted Huggies to ask for an explanation. I have to say that I didn't notice myself but a friend told me. They still fit across my whole hand which is the thing that I like about them and I still only need one wipe (unless it's an enormous poo) most of the time.
Of course I've tried others but I keep coming back to Huggies, same with Nappies. Tried Aldi on the recommendation of members from EB site and was sadly dissappointed, nappy rash to high heaven and leaks from hell. I'll stick with the old saying, "you get what you pay for".
Happy parenting!

I don't use huggies wipes but my friend noticed the size difference so she contacted the customer service line....they informed her that prices have gone up so instead of passing this to the consumer in the way of a price rise they instead cut down on the size.
I think huggies has cut costs everywhere as their nappies are thinner and my daughther is in infant huggies and the packet I brought today had a few different sizes in it....
So who knows what they are doing

I found the ALDI nappies to be excellent, but then I only got into them at toddler age. Before I found ALDI nappies, I used Babylove (and before that, cloth). For wipes, I use the Woolies Home Brand variety which are thinner than Huggies, but are strong and cheap.
