How long did you wait?

I am wondering how long you waited after having HELLP syndrome or Eclampsia before having your next baby.
Did your doctors tell you too wait a certain period?
I had HELLP syndrome and Eclampsia and I am wondering how long to wait before TTC.:detective:

we waited exactly 6 month, as the docs told us to- our 2 older ones are 15 month apart :)


i only had PE in my first pregnancy, not in the other 2 to follow....

Lila thank you for responding, I posted this poll so long ago I had forgotten about it but it was exciting to see it pop up!

Wow I am suprised they told you 6m they said min 18 months to me, I guess it depends on your level of liver/kidney damage hey.

Immediately after the death of our son (born alive at 28 wks due to pre-e and HELLP), my obstetrician gave me the all-clear to TTC again as soon as I was emotionally ready.

DS is 16 months now and we'll be trying again in a couple of months. I was not advised one way or the other. TBH, I never really thought about it until you asked.

I was not told any time to wait after my first born with PE but ended up concieving just under 2 years after giving birth

After my second was born with PIH that pregnancy I concieved 12 weeks later

I had PE in my third pregnancy but started TTC when she was 6 months old, needless to say didn't concieve until after her 2nd birthday :)
